thanks for the link Soldier2795, it was fun to see a documentary about the growth of this wonderful gaming franchise. I was surprised to hear they were almost bankrupt and Final Fantasy's success saved their arses. :yes:3D World Runner I used to have that game and did not know it was made by the Square family. it was a trippy but fun game

That was awesome. The graphics for III were definitely some of the best ive seen for that platform. now i kind of wish they would have ported it to the super famicom. the birth of moogles and summoners as well as fat chocobos. that was cool. Thanks also for the Cloud and Sephiroth sprites. So have all the parts been released in the series yet? I wonder why moogles werent in 4? or is that what Namingway is supposed to be.

Gametrailers seems to be doing a series of retrospectives now. They recently released the first part of a Metroid retrospective.

I had chills through that whole move. These are great, especially considering they've chosen 3 of my 4 favorite series so far.

This is pretty nice, though I had to install QuickTime to get the FFV portion of Part III to work. wink.gif

FFIVDS looks awesome, right? Especially the character scans. I mean, look at that CGI scan of Yang. You see it and you just think...badass. And then you look at his polka-dot pants, likely stolen from a Dr. Seuss book. And then you just...shiver.

Honestly, I can't wait to see more. It's interesting to see the plot and details of the first five summarized, considering I've never played them personally. I feel it helps give me a better understanding of the development of the series.

Also, I'm glad that my spouting off about how the first Final Fantasy was supposed to be a "last game" of a failing company was accurate. I honestly don't remember where I first heard that.

This is a good little series. I'm diggin' on it. Part IV is gonna be awesome, if only because it's gonna be FFVI.

So I'm assuming that after Six, each video is going to be devoted to a one specific game, rather than two.

That is cool, though.

I think its great that they focus on the early Final Fantasy games. they dont get the credit they should, so im glad they made this.

IMO the 3 SNES games were the best in the series and should be remade on PS2 or PS3 platforms.

Yeah, but I'm wondering if all post-6 games will also be a "one video, one game" deal.

Also, does anyone know if they're doing any side games? It seems like they're going to skip Mystic Quest.

Fourth one is up. Ch-ch-check it out!

This one is great, and I'm not even a big fan of FFVI

yes from here on out it will be one video one game also just so you know game trailers as the rights to do this from square enix they will only cover the main games their will be none of the movies because they would have to get the rights for Sony pictures and others.

The Compilation of FFVII will continue going strong. That should make the die-had FFVII fans rejoice! It may not be my favorite FF, but the fact that they are going to continue to expand it's universe is pretty cool and more than likely will benefit both the creators and the fans.

Man, I still really like FF7. D:

Not its spin-offs, though.
