The game is supposed to lead you on to the fact that bringing your allies to critical health will expel Wrexsoul from their bodies. You're supposed to weaken your allies until Wrexsoul pops out of one of them, then you can damage him, at least, until he possesses a party member again.

Of course, the easier way is to just cast X-Zone on the two Soul Saver enemies when Wrexsoul is possessing one of your characters. You'll automatically win the battle.

Will it still add Wrexsoul to my bestiary and allow me to get whatever same experience, gil, etc. i would normally earn or receive from him?

I'm not sure if it'll give you the same Gil/Exp/etc, but he will be added into your Bestiary.

If you X-Zone it, it also might not drop the item it drops (I can't remember what it is).

If you want the Pod Bracelet cast reraise on your party members and kill them to draw wrexsoul out and kill him.

My Gogo theory: Gogo came from a secretive clan of mimics that lives in a WoR exclusive area and when they were exposed in the WoR Kefka fries everyone except Gogo and he doesn't want to talk about his past because he will remember the death of his people. Because Lady Luck spits on him he ends up in the Zone Eater.

X-Zone is cheating anyway. For some reason I think it's taking advantage of a bug/overlook in the game. -CSM

If combined with Vanish on the earlier versions of the game it could be considered abusing a programming oversight, however the Soul Savers are vulnerable to the Clear status on any version of the game.

There's one thing I'm not clear on. The game seems to say you have to weaken your party members to critical HP to make Wrexsoul pop out, but that never worked for me. Instead I always had to kill them off one by one until he'd come out.

So... what gives? Is it just badly explained?

I'm pretty sure it's a bad explanation. I've always had to murder my own guys, too.

Weird. Anytime I tried to X-Zone them they'd just respawn. Must have been a patch I downloaded.

Both the Soul Savers need to be killed at the same time for it to work. If one of them is killed by X-Zone but the other survives, the one that died will be revived.

So is Vanish-Doom but I killed the Dirt Dragon with it cuz I was too lazy to wait until I was strong enough not to get decimated by him.

Moderator Edit
PLEASE read the thread before you post. CSM was mentioning how the vanish-Xzone thing was a bug exploit, and you posted again to say the same exact thing. -Caesar
