did anyone find this battle too easy. if you use those summon crystal you get after beating a boss they make him a push over and a frog. it only takes 3 or 4 to get him in to a frog then just attack that is it.

Hey, I found it too easy even without using the crystals. Then again, this was after I'd picked through absolutely everything in the bonus dungeon at least once over, and, as such, was around level 80. I didn't really know what to expect from Zeromus EG, so I put off the battle for as long as possible.
Yes, yes I am a coward. |

Actually, due to the way Zeromus is coded, he has somewhere between 105000 and 123000 HP in the SNES game, I believe. I don't have the files to check specifically at this time. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

From what I recall reading, Zeromus gets a complete HP restore at some point during the fight, so the total HP you have to whittle down varies from fight to fight. Does that happen with Zeromus EG, too? -------------------- Veni, vidi, dormivi. |

Zeromus EG is the final boss in the lunar ruins of the GBA version
and i found him to be pathetically easy. with my levels all around 80, he never attacked once. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! Have a listen! |

Someone had to tell me about the Grimoire trick before I used it.
Once you memorize Zeromus EG's attack pattern, and heal appropriately, he should be a piece of cake. Unlike main story Zeromus, your team should have more than enough HP to survive Big Bang and with Ribbons nullifying the status ailments, that just leaves Tornado to recover from and his combo attacks, which aren't terribly impressive. I think I beat him in the 70s. Zeromus has 65,498 HP, and when he reaches 16,000 HP or less he'll do his infamous HP refill. Thankfully it's only once a battle, though. Zeromus EG just has 200,000 HP (I think, I don't have the game on hand) and doesn't do the refill thing (thank goodness). -------------------- |

Havent played the GBA version of it
But, I can say that the difficulty of Zeromus is a lot lower for SNES than it is for PSX. I walked thru the SNES version, and leveled him with a party around level 28. I managed to make it to him on the PSX version around the same level, and his speed is quite a bit faster, which means a lot more big bangs for Rosa to keep up with. -------------------- think you're a true rp dork - try it live action shifted lands |

I was very dissapointed in Zeromus EG, i didn't use the Grimoires and he was still a piece of cake, not being able to take down my party with Rosa Curagaing every single turn... pathetic for a final super boss if you ask me... Brachioraidos is way harder, but still doable without levelling too much!

Zeromus EG was very simple, I beat him/her/it with Edge only. The only hard part was the end where he/she/it attacks X5.

Quote 123000? by the bestiary readings the HP was like 200,000 or something it felt like it was easier than regular zemorus. =) yeah w/o the crystal, I was stuck on the weird castle maze thingy for a loooooooong time before i finally quit trying so my party was like lv85+ lol. im a retard. it probably felt easier because your characters were much stronger. and please don't through around retard. sorry, its an annoyance of mine. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! I found him easy, but that's because I though you need all of the Grimores before you could fight him. The thing that usually kills one of my guys is when the ultimate wepaons kicks off magic when he has reflect. His Offering Style attack is somewhat nasty. I need to find my copy of this game so I can go to the end without the Grimores.

So is Zeromus EG more powerful that standered Zeromus? (I mean, I know the EG stands for Easy Game since he was the boss from FF4 Easytype...)
