I do have a question though, I wondered this and looked at the Rebirth forums to find this, but what are a usual stats for a merchant, and does it matter? I've been wondering this, and not even sure if they can fight, just sell things. Thanks for any info.

Merchants can fight. They are somewhat like a Swordsman, but without as many attack skills, and an even more noticeable lack of HP regeneration skills.

So, personally, I find the merchant one of the most difficult/expensive classes to play in the game; this is because I like to refrain from spending money. Essentially, if you carry enough potions, you can level up any character reasonably efficiently. However, potions cost you a LOT of money over time.

On the other hand, Merchants are the only class that can Vend, or open a shop to sell items to other players. They also have the extraordinarily uesful ability to buy things from NPCs at discounted rates, and sell back trash to the NPC for more money than it's normally worth.

Merchants also have the single most powerful rapid fire attack skill in the game, wherein they can spend money on each attack to multiply their damage output by 600%.

Okay, I'm downloading the RebirthRO_FULL_CLIENT.exe and it says it will take almost 90 hours. Is there any way to make this go a little faster? I don't think my parents will be too happy if I have to leave this going for 90 hours.

I'm gonna join that server as soon as everything downloads.
I've played on a few servers, I used to pay for the original.

I'll set up some characters. Always a Swordie to pwn, and a merch to play(sell) when I'm gone, making me money off the items that my swordie picks up. If Leilong is available, that will be my swordie name, other than that, my merch will have a lame name, because he's a mule.

Is anyone even online right now? Last few times i've logged on, i'm the only one in the guild even online.

Also Phoenix, I meant stats wise. Which of the few would be better for him? STR, VIT, AGI, ect. That type of stats is kinda what I was hoping for, the only one i'm for sure on is major VIT just in case of dangerous places. That is what I meant, but the other info also helped as well.

Hmm I was playing just fine until I got the "Disconnected From Server" thing, So far it only happened to people before they played, so in my case, did I just have a normal disconnection?

Oh, and I installed/unzipped/whatever "Small Client."

No, you don't understand, i've waited hour after hour after hour, and it's still the same stupid thing. I don't know what's going on, but the game may have experienced some type of corruption and virus, and they may be fixing it. Don't get me wrong and take that as true, but that's what I think. I mean, I can understand if it was my computer, but i've tried over again, reset up my connection, restarted my computer, and ect. I'm out of ideas.

I didn't know you had to run the patcher every once in a while to get the new patches, but of course that kinda seems like the thing to do. Thanks Shinrin, I feel like an idiot, but at least I can play again. I keep that in mind, and maybe that will also help someone else here too. Thanks again.

Goron and Leilong have been added to the guild and this thread as well. Note that you two mark our 15th and 16th guild characters!

At the moment, 16 is our guild member cap. So, I'll spend a little time online now to boost the guild level and make more room for new players.

Okay, I'm not giving up on this yet. I probably sound like an idiot, but, if someone attached the Full Client to an e-mail, would I still have to wait 4 days to download it? Or would it be better if I got my friend to download it and put it on her flashdrive?

The second one would work, if the flash drive is large enough to fit it and her connection is faster than yours. The first wouldn't: e-mail or HTTP, you can still only pull the same limited amount of data through the "series of tubes" at once.

The CoN guild has leveled, and we now have space for another six players to join.

Galsic's character is listed under the first post as "waiting for invite."

The second post in this thread now includes job class information which may help new players decide which class they might want to pursue. (Yes, half the classes' names and abilities really do sound like they came straight out of Final Fantasy Tactics, I know.) The second post also includes a links section that players should find to be quite useful.

This game looks cool, but dialup screws me over again. Expect an application from me in a couple months.

hey i finally got my computer working again after it effectively died, which was right after i installed ragnarok. im thinking that it was coincidence, but in the process i deleted ragnarok (hoping that it was the source of the problem). so, before i attempt to re-install, how safe is this?

the problem was that my keyboard wasn't responding to my copmuter. or maybe the switch of that. without keyboard, no signing into computer. we tried a different one too, but nothing. i tinkered around a little, then we tried another keyboard and it worked. so i don't exactly know what happened. but either way, the parents freaked.

Ragnarok is perfectly safe software, and is both well designed and continually developed. (New patches come out frequently.) In other words, I don't see any reason that it should cause problems for your computer. However, if you're still concerned, you might run a google search about "ragnarok compatibility issues" or the problems your computer encountered and see if other people have experienced similar problems.

well see (to my surprise) my computer actually is quite up to date. it fits the requirements for any other game. as i said, i am guessing its a coincidence, but i am a little paranoid when it comes to computer stuff.
