I cant seem to find this game in any "real" retail outlets in the South East of England.

Is it out here at all? or just overshadowed by more recent consoles?

reply from anyone who owns this game in the UK would be super (cant believe I just said super -.-)

Not being from England, and not directly answering your question, you'll probably not appreciate it, but as far as I am aware you're far better off just getting it online. http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/forums...ndpost&p=143431

I found my copy in GameStation, though their collection was sporadic, and it may not apply to all parts of the country.

I just bought it on the web. Its much easier, cheaper, and at the rate I manage to get to places that would sell it in store, its much faster too. If you insist on buying it in a shop, just check any of the regular places: Game, Gamestation, HMV, Virgin Megastores. One of those should probably have what you're looking for. You could even try places like Woolworths, Asda and Tesco, but I wouldn't rely on them selling it.
