Okay, so I decided to brush up on my Windows Movie Maker skills today. I took the japanese trailer for Final Fantasy IV and added subtitles in english, ala Shiva Indis' translation. (I hope she doesn't mind.... O__o)
Anyway, I would've posted it in the news thread, but I'm feeling egotistical today. Technically it does count as a personal creation. (...right?) I thought the effect was a lot better, having the subtitles there. You can sort of connect the voice with the translation and the imagery. It's very striking once you know what they're all saying. Anyway, here's the linkage. [ Full Sized ] [ YouTube ] And yes, I forgot to subtitle that last bit of on screen text before Rosa's last line. I'm too lazy to fix it. I would use a different font and maybe colour to differentiate between the spoken dialog and written text in that video but it's otherwise good.

Quote (ThroneofDravaris @ 10th June 2007 01:09) I would use a different font and maybe colour to differentiate between the spoken dialog and written text in that video but it's otherwise good. All I had to do this with was Windows Movie Maker. All the other fonts looked horrible and any other color would have been impossible to read unless the background was completely black. I'm glad you like it though. -------------------- "Some fight for justice. Some fight for law . . . . . .Cecil, what will you fight for?" ~KluYa |
