I'm just curious, if I import a game from the UK, will it be in english?

Yes... Many EU games have a language-select option, while others are in the language of the country that they're being sold in.

But what system is it for? If you're importing a game on the PS1, PS2, Gamecube, XBox 360, PS3, or Wii, then you'd need a modded PS2 or something similar in order to play it.

If it's imported from the UK, you're getting it from the UK, and the UK is where English originates, so yes, of course

I already said it when I posted in this topic earlier. If you want a European game to work on a North American PS2, then you'll either need to mod your PS2, use Swap Magic, or something similar. You won't be able to just pop it in and play.
