Howdy hi, new member from the UK here. Nice to see a decent Final Fantasy forum!

Right, now I don't wish to be a troll or a troublemaker, but I do have to ask the question.....Toxiedogg, did you steal my idea for a nickname?

The reason I ask is, I've been using the nickname 'ToxieDogg' for years, ever since I invented it by combining 2 of my old chatroom nicknames and registering it on Dreamarena (the Dreamcast's old web service). I'm currently registered on a number of forums as 'ToxieDogg' and I've had numerous emails printed on Channel 4 Teletext's GameCentral Inbox, also as ToxieDogg. If you go to Google and type in ToxieDogg, you will get nothing but links to my stuff and/or places I'm registered with or have been mentioned by people who know me.

Asides from this one forum.

I don't mind exactly (as I say in the title, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ) but if you didn't take the idea for a username from me, then I'd be interested to know what made you come up with it, as I got it by combining my first chatroom nickname 'Toxie' (which reflects my love of Troma's Toxic Avenger movies) with another name I used for a while, 'T-Dogg' (which I used because my real first name begins with a 'T' and I used to be a fan of a wrestler who's nickname was 'K-Dogg'). I honestly didn't think it would be the sort of nickname that anybody else would've 'just come up with'.

Anyways, I stress again that I'm not here to 'troll'.....I'm just curious. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what usernames we're using on here as long as we can still share views on Square Enix games and other stuff.

It was difficult to find a good username but then i thought toxiedogg will be a ok username then for some weird reason guilt was all over my mind after and just kept thinking i should of chose a different name.
But I only use Toxiedogg only this forums.
Apologies TromaDogg especially you'll been using this username for years.
I really have regrets now.

But of course welcome to the caves.

I chose my username based on the fact that it sounded somewhat realistic (as opposed to "[chainofletters][chainofnumbers]", which constitutes most people's screen names. But I think in retrospect it was a good idea to have both FF4 and CT in it, since this way I can kinda avoid being mixed with characters from either game, or hopefully from any game (with a name like "Glenn M. Harvey"). Thus, while I wasn't very creative in coming up with an entirely unique name (with unique parts), I try to avoid using something that could easily be duplicated (as opposed to something like "Mick_Jagger_fan" or "bensonismyidol" or "sweetdreams12345" or "yuna62").

ive also been known as Kain (after seeing Kane's username whilst scrolling through as a guest, i decided against it), Tsunami.....my friend called me that one time and it stuck for some reason. i named a pre character (now named Kain) Tsunami Kesurugi...it sounded Japanese (bad i know), Tjrulz on one of my last forums, Osborne (gotta love Ozzy), and to cap it all off, DarKnight. i love dark knights, and i thought it was a unique way of spelling it. these usually have 7s at the end because its my lucky number, and im Timothy Jon Sullivan VII. so i have an attachment to the number 7

No problems buddy! No need to feel bad. I haven't got exclusive rights to any nickname, it was just that I keyed it into Google trying to find another forum I posted on a while ago & this one came up. I was a bit surprised at first but I thought I'd register because it seems a nice place.

And if I'm gonna share nicknames with anybody, at least it's a Final Fantasy 7 fan, it's one of my all time fave games too

Now if you'd said that Final Fantasy 8 was your fave on the other hand I'd be considering legal action for 'defamation of character', lol

Yeah, that's me, GameCentral's self-styled favourite canine contributor

I know some of the personal views I have (ie. when I had an email printed on GameCentral slating online gaming a couple of weeks back) have upset quite a few people but I don't really mean any offence & I'm always open to debate.

come on......

I don't hate it, but it's easily my least favourite of the 'recent' Fantasys. I hated the junction system with a passion.

That being said, it did have great characters, story, music and also the coolest weapons ever (Gunblades). I've never played it all the way through to the end though.
