I don't understand. Are you saying that you have Chrono Cross saved onto your PS3 hard drive? Are you basically asking for help doing something illegal? :-/

In any case, PS2 memory cards only hold 8 MB, and I doubt that any PS1 game will fit on there. Besides, the PS2 isn't meant to load games from memory cards. If that were possible, I'm sure we would have seen all manner of 8- and 16-bit emulation.

no, im not doing anything illegal. i bought Chrono Cross from Amazon and im playing it on my PS 3 thanks to backwards compatibility. by it i meant the Chrono Cross save file, which, by use of the Memory card adapter, i wanted to put the save file that is stored in my PS 3 hard drive onto a PS 1 memory card, not PS 2. i just wanted to know if getting the save file from my hard drive to a PS 1 memory card is possible using the Mem card adapter. sorry for the confusion.

well....to be honest.... isnt that really what the adapter would be for...? other then using the save file, but transfering them as well....? sounds like it would work fine.. has anyone tried it yet..?

If the save file is loading and freezing at some point during gameplay, the problem isn't your save file. It's your game disc.

no the save isnt freezing while loading, in the last battle whenever he uses an element, it freezes the motion he is doing, and i clened my game disc nine time so that cant be it. but is memory card adapter thing even possible

According to Wikipedia, you can't transfer saved data from the hard drive to a memory card.

But what you're asking still doesn't make sense. The save data just tells the game what parameters to assign as it loads. It doesn't program a boss fight. Either your disc is messed up (cleaning it won't fix scratches), or there's a problem playing Chrono Cross on the PS3.

Not being able to write back to the memory card was a pain in the rear. I copied my Tiger Woods 07 data from my memory card to my girlfriend's dad's PS3 to use in a Vs. match and proceeded to get two trophy balls and set 3 new records, and I couldn't save it back to my memory card! Took me over a month to get those trophy balls again, and I still haven't matched that previous record. Grrr... sad.gif
