I'm an AMV nerd so there's gonna be lots of pointless criticism

The video runs well with the music, but it should also run with the lyrics, which it does rarely. You also put in whole long scenes in musically dynamic moments, like the dance scene (although, the close up on Squall's eye in the middle there was a nice touch) and I daresay, that Squall walking through the desert to the line "Your arms are my castle" is a very bad idea.

Also, on a more personal note, I loathe the cover song you used to make this video. The original was much better. </rant>

Keep working. I'd love to see more of your videos.

Dude, I rarely watch many AMVs, and believe me, that one right there, was one of the better ones... It matched up perfectly with the song and since I am a big fan of FF8, I loved it. Keep up the good work ^^

I also watched the other one you did, with FF9... I thought it was done fairly well, but I thought you should have added a couple of dramatic parts such as when Stiener's looking down at Garnet in the castle, or when the Black Mage's fell off the ship... I don't exactly know how that would fit into the plot of the AMV, but that scene always touches my heartstrings...

Complaining about lyrics matching is pointless since most pop music lyrically is trash anyway. There is a point to be made about matching to the music, however, which it looked like you intially started to do. The cuts are good to competent, it's the shots chosen that aren't very good.

It's a techno song filled with a lot of slow buildups that move into a fast beats that aren't taken advantage of. You had one shot in there during one of these moments which was just a shot of a rock wall, there wasn't even anything happening then it cuts to Squall doing...nothing. All the while the techno's going crazy.

What we're seeing should match what we're hearing. In other words, fast moving shot with lots of action for the fast beats and slower or static shots for the buildup sections. If you have shots that conflict with that, it looks awkward, jarring and makes us fully aware of how static the whole thing becomes.

The clips that you are using, if shuffled around and cut a little tighter, could prolly do the job as is, but whether you wanna do that is up to you.
