This would have probably one place from every game, so here goes:
FFI: Lufenia FFII: All the cirties are essentially destroyed, so maybe with the rebels? FFIII: Doga's Palace...cool little moogles FFIV: Cave Eblan (ninjas ROCK) or Toroia, which looks the coolest in design in the game. FFV: Possible spoilers: highlight to view Karnakassuming the worlds combined... FFVI: Possible spoilers: highlight to view Figaro Castleassuming its the WoR FFVII: Wutai (once again...ninjas) or Icicle Inn (The snowboarding = woot!) FFVIII: Balamb Garden or Timber FFIX: Probably in the castle with Regent Cid (royalty is Definately in nowadays) FFX: Probably in Luca...awesome place. Maybe Bevelle... FFX-2: (see FFX) FFXII: Bhujerba, Rabanastre, or the Salikawood with the Viera These are the places in the main games i would live in, but dont ask me about Tactics, Tac.Adv., Adventure, legend, or mystic quest...gets too confusing to describe -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. FFX: Besaid Island
Place looks like what I hope heaven is like. Crystal clear water, sunny days, light breezes, sand in your toes, beautiful natural pools to swim and play in all day... Anyone who's played it, think back to the first few hours of the game when you get to besaid. Were you not amazed at the beauty of it? I fell in love with the place. -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

FFV:
Either in the N-zone/Void/Cleft of Dimension/whatever or in Mirage Village. The former provides constant opportunities to get a change of scenery and/or chill with mah homie Gilgamesh. Plus, as more and more villages get consumes by X-Death, I get to see more and more. -------------------- Is PJ |

Definitely Toroia from FF4. Cool design, isolated in the mountains, and a larger female per male ratio than any other city around.
I also dig the little frogs all over the palace and the study of chocobos they conduct there. Who knows, maybe if I lived there long enough I'd get to hear a song from Edward's harp |

I agree with Hamedo. Besaid is an awesome place, and even though it's a feature I wouldn't get, the music rocked! So, yeah, either there or Luca. What can I say, I like places by the water.

I'd probably live in Kalm or somewhere like that. There's a Chocobo farm nearby.
Or maybe I'd live in Nibelheim. I'd love to live in Esthar, obviously before it gets swarmed with monsters. I would really like to live in such a technologically advanced city.

I'm going to agree with Hamedo, I'd definitely want to live in Besaid. That beauty of the beaches there and the simplicity or their lifestyle is too much for me to turn down. That being said, I'm also a city boy so I need some of that too. I'd like to say Midgar prior to having a giant space rock hit it, or after the reconstruction, Advent Children era. Just seems like an interesting place to be.

So many good locations to choose from...
I won't say much about FF1-6, as the 2d settings leave a bit too much to the imagination for me to want to choose any real estate. If I had to choose one from these games, I'd choose anywhere in the WoB - probably have a nice house in the middle of nowhere in particular like Gau's father. Maybe I'd just take his house from him - tell him I was the clock repairman and hit him when he let his guard down. FF7 - I'd choose anywhere but Midgar. Probably Kalm or Cosmo Canyon. FF8 - Balamb or Galbadia Garden to keep up my fitness. FF9 - Lindblum. It's a big city that looks like a small town. Or perhaps Dali, since Black Mages do all the work. FFX - Besaid. It's paradise, and Yuna and Lulu live there. FFXII - Nothing there struck me as particularly appealing. Rabanastre is occupied, the Viera are assholes, there's no middle-class in Archades, the Garif are scary looking...I guess I default to Balfonheim or Bhujerba. FFIV - Toroia, for reasons already stated... Also, their music is pretty awsome... Although Mysidia is a tempting locale too. I could go and learn me some black magics...
FFVI - Jidoor. As I recall Jidoor really doesn't suffer much through the WOB, WOR changes. I'd steal Owzner's (sp?) house, and take myself off to the auctions and operas every weekend -------------------- TURKEY! - (The only way not to get blocked for using Fowl Language) |

Midgar, the upper levels, pre-terrorism/WEAPONs/Meteor etc. I'd say Jidoor, but I have the sinking suspicion that antibiotics are not yet invented in the FF6 world. That simply will not do.

I'd probably settle somewhere quiet, and so difficult to reach that no one should be able to sustain themselves there. Say... Esto Gaza. FFX's Zanarkand (beginning of the game) looks like it'd be thee coolest FF city to live without a doubt! I'd prefer to either live there or Deling City from FFVIII.
If I was going to settle down and raise a family in FF, FFVII's Kalm would be the ideal place for me, however. -------------------- "Thought I was dead, eh? Not until I fulfill my dream!" I don't really walk into a town and say, "Wouldn't that be a neat place to live?" I don't have that many favourites. I mostly would want to live places because my favourite characters are there.
FFV-Lix (that's what it's called, right?) because it's Bartz's hometown, it has cool music, and people play hide-and-seek on the roofs! FFIX-Lindblum. That place is sweet! It has a little bit of everything, and Tantalus hides there. Alexandria would be nice, too. FFX-Pre-destroyed Zanarkand. That place was pretty cool and Auron was there. I would go talk to Auron everyday and drive him up the wall because he's really cool. Edit My 200th post!!! I'm gonna go celebrate now. I - Gurgu Volcano: Just because of Kary.
IV - Probably Baron, because that's where the airships are, but Toroia would be nice because of all the women there. V - Bal. Having Odin in your basement. VI - Figaro. Easily. Although the Veldt would be cool. VII - Junon. Like Midgar without the pollution. VIII - Probably Esthar, where tubes are used for mass transit, but Timber would be cool as well. IX - Lindblum because of its immense size. X - I wouldn't want to live in a theocracy XII - Bhujerba. I'd love to live in a floating city. -CSM -------------------- The NEW Final Fantasy Wiki! Out of all the places in any Final Fantasy game, Alexandria in FF9 has always been my favorite. Compared to the other towns in the game, it's not as big or crowded-looking as Lindblum, but it's big enough to be really substantial.
I also like areas in FF6 and FF10, but Alexandria's it for me. ^^ |

VI - Either Narshe or South Figaro. With some Zozo tourism
IV - Myisidia. Peaceful (most of the time) and colorful. Or Mist - summoners rock ^^ No other places I'd like to live come to mind ^^ I'd rather TRAVEL those worlds. If I could live in any place in all of FF it would be:
Midgar (ffvii) - I'd go join soldier. after that the list is as follows Zanarkand (ffx) - I love ruins. City of the Ancients (ffvii) - I love ruins. Riovanes Castle (fft) - I love castles too. Besaid (ffx) - just a cool place, great scenery - and a nearby ocean to swim all the time. -------------------- |

Daguerreo or Winhill. Both nice and peaceful places out in the middle of nowhere, hard to get to, pleasant folk, nice atmosphere. If Burmecia wasn't such a soggy town, I might set up shop there.
