I've heard of it, and have been trying to get my hands on a copy for some time now. Seeing that video only makes me want the game all the more.

Considering how old the game is, this is seriously impressive for a beat 'em up.
It's a shame it didn't sell better.
Still, I don't see any point in getting it now.

I have Ehrgeiz, god I love it. GOD BLESS THE RING. The dungeon mode isn't shabby either, though a bit difficult. Tifa was pretty sweet in the game, but I used the boxer and the chick that turns into the wolf most, IIRC.

My friend rented it while I was at his house for the weekend a few years back. It's pretty good. I played the most as Cloud, Tifa, and Yo yo yoko (I think that was her name)

I remember, it must have been about 8 years ago? This game was in a arcade. I thought it was the best game ever, mainly because you could go Cloud, and I was a bit of a fanboy then lol.
I spent alot of those pesatas on this game, this is one I would buy for sure if I ever seen a copy, which I know is unlikely.
It was a really cool game I thought.

If you noticed I used all of cloud's available limit breaks in the game... except omnislash that's really difficult to pull off I know how to do it but I can only do it in practice mode. That song is jenova from the reunion soundtrack toxiedogg what did you think of my video? ^^ Strange that you found it... hahahaha.

Ehrgeiz is a decent fighting game. When I bought it I only wanted to play as FFVII characters, but I found myself liking the original fighters even more.

It's still good, although the controls werent the best it was still fun. It was a tough pain in the rear carrying the sword and slashing Red Scorpion though.

My favorite fighters in this game are Tifa, Han, Godhand, Koji Masuda, and Clair Adrews.

The Quest Mode was so-so, since I had to feed myself once the hunger gauge is low. But it was hilarious seeing them run inside dungeons.

And the beach-style mini games were also pretty hilarious.

IMO, this game wasn't that great. Sure, they added in FFVII characters. But Tekken 3 was out at the same time this game came out, and Tekken 3 > Ehrgeiz.

All I am saying is that it could have been a MUCH better game. What I would like to see is a FF fighting game with ALL the FF characters from the series >_>

Is there a way to use characters other than the default ones in the Quest mode?

I checked my local used game place, no luck.

I think online is the only realistic way to get it. Unless you're in a huge city, the odds of there even being a working copy in your town, pubilc or private, is probably 1000:1.

Then you must not really want it. Games only drop significantly in price if the supply exceeds the demand. Enough people still want Ehrgeiz that you're never going to find it cheap.

If I found a copy of Ehrgeiz for $30 and didn't have it, I would seriously call out any favor I could and go get it before it's gone.

2 Words: Credit Cards! tongue.gif

Here's and interesting question to pose after the above thoughts:
How much would you be willing to pay to attain a copy of Ehrgeiz?

Personally, I would be willing to spend up to probably $100 if I had to, but would start to get cold feet around $65.

I'm not sure how much I'd be willing to pay for it - as much as I had available, I guess, up to a ceiling of about $100, depending on how much disposable income I had.
