For anyone who doesn't know, Yoshiyuki is one of the swords you can get for Cloud.
What I'm curious about is it's effect - in the game's item menu, when you point the cursor at the Yoshiyuki, it says "Sword is used when an ally is down." Can anyone tell me anything about this? |

I'm not completely sure but I'd guess it does more damage if one of your characters is on 0 HP.

Yoshiuki is my favourite weapon in the game! If you equip it to Cloud, and have the other members (or just one) dead, his damage is increased massively. If you fancy trying out Emerald Weapon with Cloud alone, use the sword. I have it equipped most of the time - with the exception of when I'm levelling (Apocalypse).
