I was wondering if you still play the game, doing side quests and what not, after you beat sephiroth for the final time? I want to train in the northern caves so that I can beat the weapons but I read that you can only come back up through a certain point. How does this work?
Thanks |

That's a common misperception that you can't reboard the airship once you slide down into Northern Crater. All you have to do is slip into that cave you see when you first slide down, and you'll come out at a small precipice overlooking the slide. On the right, there's a bit of rock that acts as a ladder that will allow you to get back to the airship.

As long as when you reach the point all the members gather up near the bottom of the crater ( where the lifestream is most visible) and do not go past it to fight sephiroth you are fine. Just don't go down there you can go anywhere else and train but once you go down there ... there aint no coming back.

I would recommend that you also drop your Save Crystal in the caves before comming back out... That way you don't have to go all the way back out to save your gam every time. There is a monster down there that will cast a flare or death spell if you use magic on him and kill all of your characters with one move... unless you have final attack materia of course. Don't mean to go off topic. Just thought I might add tha one in for ya.
