Hey. I was just wondering if it was possible to find the Choco/Mog materia in the excavation site in Bone Village if you missed it in the Chocobo stables on disc one. I know it's been said that any missed objects can be found there, so I hoped that maybe the materia was there, too.

Hmm, the Choco/Mog materia isn't listed in the "Missable Items" guide here on CoN (found here), so I assume you can get it at any time. Just select the right option when talking to the chocobo.
Edit: Oops, forgot the chocobos are only there when you first visit the Chocobo farm in Disc 1 ![]() Another edit: A quick Google search revealed this page, claiming that you can get "The Key to Sector Five, Bahamut Zero, Phoenix, W-Item, Buntline, Mop, Megalixir, Potion, Lunar Harp, Elixir, Turbo Ether, and Ether" from Bone Village...no mention of Choco/Mog I'm afraid. Unless the chocobo standing at the fence doesn't disappear until you get the materia? I'm sure someone knows. This post has been edited by bam on 28th March 2007 16:19 |

I think the materia is in the farm anyways. If the chocobos are no longer available to perform their number, Choco/Mog is still going to be near the fence.

The very reason I want it is to get another master summon from the Huge Materia in Bugenhagen's observatory. I really don't care about the materia itself.

I can't find it! I checked near the fence, and all I found was a Chocobo Lure materia in the foreground area of the fence. The Choco/Mog materia is nowhere to be found. Maybe my game is weird and it put the Chocobo Lure materia where the Choco/Mog materia was supposed to be? I dunno...

I figured it out-it's actually incredibly easy. All I needed to do was catch my own chocobo, send it to the stables, and talk to it while it was in the pen. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner haha.

Choco/mog is the best summon early in the game as it stuns most enemies(puts them in stop mode) in disc 2 onwards it's completely useless
