rapid fire is a cannoneer(spelling?)0 ability.

get your mages to master red mage.
another thing, if you go into a fight with movers, use any powerful fire stuff. they give you 129 ABP.

Anything else you would like to know?

I thought that Rapid Fire (!Sshot) was a Ranger ability. unsure.gif

Yes, !RapidFire/!X-Fight is a ranger ability, not a Cannoneer ability.

Most of the information you're looking for can be found in our databases. Feel free to use them; that's why they're there. thumbup.gif

blizzera god, if you don't want to try finding Movers and/or can't kill them fast enough, a good place to build job levels is in the Bal/Val castle basement (accessed through the Jacole cave), where Odin is. The statues there are susceptible to Level 5 Doom for a quick handful of JP. If you don't have Lvl5 Doom, you can just fight around until level 45 and then go back and fight the LvlChecker enemies in the Ruins part of the rift. Make sure you don't get wiped out by it, though; either have one person a level lower/higher or have one person !Jump.

Although I fail to see the need for other jobs when you have two people using !Finisher and the other two people healing. Gladiator is so broken.

You get Mighty Guard by Controlling the Stingray enemy who lives in the water just above the Sunken Tower. Make sure you have a Blue Mage, Control him and have him use it on your party.

Caesar, good tip on the Rock Statues for JP. Usually I save MP and just throw Gold Needles at them since Val Castle has an item shop just a few screens away. thumbup.gif

Again, I'm quite sure our databases on this site can answer that. But to directly answer your question, that is Hydra/Syldra and you can get him/her in the Third World in the Pirate Cave where you first meet Faris.

We do keep these databases for a reason. The info there has either been directly dumped from the ROM or has been verified by the staff members here. Try searching there first.

Any job is useful in the game, and they get even better once you get used to the ability system. The most balanced team IMO are two physical fighters and two spellcasters. My favorites are Knight, White Mage, Black Mage, and Thief for starters.

With thieves, you can steal plenty of interesting things. Get a Thief's Glove relic either from the Fire Ship or steal it from Sekmet, then just go out there wild.

Using !Steal, or !Capture can get Genji equipment from Gilgamesh (ship, exdeath's castle, and cleft of dimension). When equipped with Genji stuff, sure they can take quite a lot of weight to mess with your speed, but they help protect you against some status effects such as Toad, Mini, or Confusion.

In addition, you get more defense and won't need to rely on crappy Crystal equipment. And it works flawlessly with a Samurai since they can equip Masamune.:-]

Thieves can also steal plenty of interesting relics like Wall Ring from the Wall Mages at Exdeath's Castle or Kaiser Gloves (Which maximizes your Monk's power or anyone with "brawl" equipped). Not the strongest but their speed makes up for it.

Ribbon only protects you from common status effects Poison, Blind, Petrify, etc, and not the more concernable ones like Zombie (Angel Ring or Robe takes care of this one), Death Sentence, or even instantaneous death.

And ceaser, he would need someone to use bahumat. Just cause bahumat owns.
If you equip Wizard Rod/Magus Rod to your summoner, Syldra, Titan, and Leviathan will have 90% close damage as you would deal with Bahamut, or 10% over Bahamut's. There really aren't that much enemies out there that are invulnerable to Earth, Wind, or Water. Same goes for Fire/Ice/Bolt3's proving more worth than Flare alone. smile.gif

Just some good examples to love thieves and summons.
