Ok, I played this game when I was younger many times. I picked it up last week for GBA. I am at the scene where you first meet Sabin fighting Vargas. Sabins Blitz tech will not work. I have tried at least 15 times. Has anyone had the same problem? Maybe I need to clean my GBA control pad??? Please help, I am about to set the record for longest GBA punt!

OK, do this. Move the cursor over Blitz, press A, then input the Blitz command (left, right, left is the easiest), and then press A again. The directions in the SNES/PS1 version during the fight with Vargas were a little ambiguous, so it wasn't always easy to pull it off if you didn't know what to do from the get-go. Good luck.

Heheheh....
The CoN walkthrough section Mt. Koltz says to press right, left, right when its actually left, right, left. This post has been edited by RobertM on 28th February 2007 21:50 -------------------- <Insert witty remark here> |

i have the SAME problem. its not that we don't know HOW to do the blitzes. (we're not retarded, ok?) there is just a problem doing down/left and down/right
i can only do left right up and down. not two at once. i am using a nintendo ds lite. GRR @ blitz. is there a way to change the command controls for the blitzes? ![]() |

Example: Aurabolt has commands down-down/left-left, and i usually input the commands down, down, left and it works. The vargas incident might be dirtyness, but i would check the button combo incident first, since that was what fixed me when it happened on my game! -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. Slide your thumb (or other limbs) across the d-pad with constant pressure.
I use that method when using his blitzes, works most of the time. -------------------- <Insert witty remark here> |

Bum Rush? No thanks. I don't encourage rushing of the Bum.
Phantom Rush for me. (Try the thumb sliding trick, it makes Rising Pheonix really easy....At least on a Nintendo DS. can't say for the other systems.) This post has been edited by RobertM on 2nd March 2007 03:59 -------------------- <Insert witty remark here> |

Untrue for the most part, since many of my freidns and i can't get it to work with thatr method. electroCUTE: just us the rule in different ways and you can do any of the blitzes...trust me ![]() -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. Seriously, the GBA VI is soooo much easier to do blitzes in, its almost become a joke. Phantom Rush... Left, Left, Up, Up, Right, Right, Down, Dow,n Left.
Thats it! Rising Phoenix... Left, Left, Down, Down, Right... done. Did they say why they added this option? Maybe because the D-Pad feels so much smaller on the DS im playing on, and while I cant say for sure, Im guessing DS Lite's pad is the same or worse. -------------------- I reject your reality and substitute my own... |
