I was wondering how the CoN's population breaks down, for Valentine's Day. My own
suspicion is that everyone is either young and single (and loving it), or post-twenty and
married. Thus the poll, to see where everyone really is!

Can I vote in my own poll? That puts me in the 'Taken, Boyfriend Or Girlfriend' category.
I hope everyone replies with explanation! I'm definitely curious!

PS But who here is a boyfriend, and already mourning the monetary hit Valentine's Day
will be? Or is that just me? Ha, she never reads this board! That should almost be a poll,
too!

Very casually linked. She's in Australia at the moment but is coming back quite soon. It was only for a short while so we agreed not to go looking elsewhere. On the plus side, it'll be after Valentine's Day, and she moves around so much that if I sent something it'd never reach her. I got some photos where she's looking tanned, blonde and toned from surfing, and right now I look thin, pale and grey from work, having not been surfing in months; so I don't know how things will work out on her return. Mental note: go to the bloody gym tomorrow.

To be honest, I've a long winded history of being single of Valentine's Day...by my own choice, of course. I normally go Trick Or Treating on V-Day. Yes, you heard me. Sometimes I get candy, like those hearts that say thing like "be mine" or "u got aids". Other times I get people freaked out and yelling, or threatening to call the cops.

I think this year is going to entail a few of my drunken shenanigans...hopefully a trampoline.

Valentines day is a farce. It's not really a holiday, it's just an excuse for companies to make some cash between Christmas and Easter. That being said, I'm single. (Surprise)

I have yet to actually meet a girl who's even remotely like me, and I couldn't be in a relationship with someone who doesn't care about all the lame, goofy ass stuff I do.

Single, and f***ing infuriated by the fact that women never want to date the "nice guy."

My two character flaws are I tell it like it is, and I have a tendency to use foul language alot. Other than that, I'm adorable.

My entire life has been a continuous down note when it comes to V-day. I hate the holiday with such a passion I had to look up words to help me describe how much I hate it. My all time favorite is execrate.

It's too bad, though, because for the most part when I have a real relationship I've enjoyed it, and two times out of three it ended pretty well. Bottom line: I'm single, but I'm not really loving it or dealing with it. More like "meh, I'm single."

Single and loving it...after I read this book last year called I Kissed Dating Goodbye I realized that 1) I'd only get into a relationship with someone because I think I could marry that person and 2) I'm only a high school student and want to get through college and into life before marriage and 3) I've got too many other things to pursue right now than romance. I'm really not thinking about relationships and I like it that way.

Single. And that's the way I like it. I'm too busy to deal with all the troubles a girlfriend can give me. I'm also kind of womanizer. Kind of, because I never actually even kissed a girl, even though I've been kissed by girls (in the lips) several times. I just like to hang out with them, tease them and make them attracted to me, but I'm not the guy who would take advantage of a girl I don't love.

Yup, I believe in love. And, since Valentine's Day is coming, I guess I'll just hang around with some cute single girls I know ;)

I'm single currently and selected the "and dealing with it" option. I have been single for the past three and a half years, so it's getting a bit tired. Single and loving it, mostly loving all the chocolate, especially since my dad sometimes gets my mom Forero Roche or however you spell it. Tis why I miss middle school around up to grade 6-ish, get pointless cards and sometimes you either get the hot mint type hearts, or just the chocolate ones.

Iv'e been asked out once (bah) but I do think someone likes me but no, I just wouldn't go out with her just cus...no . 3 options still have 0% , interesting? I have no clue.

So I guess I dont really care for valentines, probably if I ever am (which obviously I do plan to edventually) to be in a serious relationship the "holiday" would be more serious it'self.

OMG...This sounds just like me.

I only answered Single and Dealing for the same reason as leilong, so i feel him...but my reason is slightly different. mine goes with the ebb-and-flow that i am slightly depressed right now, because there were two girls a few months back and a few years ago that i went out on one date with, but then they steered clear of me, even though we did have a good time together. I told them how i felt, but, lo-and-behold, did not feel the same about me.

This was my reason to hate valentines day and all that jazz...but also because a few days after, i found out that my two buddies were spreading seriously big-time rumours and passing around ideas that i was gay, and when this gets around a middle school in your eighth grade year and beyond...well i just wanted to kill them dead.

We made up as friends eventually, but i still feel the pain from being rejected twice alltogether. Ive been asking anyone i know to put me on a blind-date here in Seattle, but to no avail, and my feelings for the holiday shall continue to be "GRRR" until i have found myself someone i can truly enjoy it with...

Theres my sob-story on valentines day...so lets move on with life and take it one step at a time...
