I would definitely have to say that i love web comics...especially between classes.
My favorite is definitely the 8-bit theater with ctrl-alt-del trailing close behind? What is your favorite one though? -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. Count Your Sheep by a wide margin. It's gotta charm to it I haven't seen anywhere since Ozy and Millie, the runner up. And I'm not just saying that cause I got to make a guest comic for it once.

I voted for Giant in the Playground, which I've been reading religously since I found out about it through here (even though I don't even really like D&D.) I still read 8-bit, but I think it's fallen off a little lately. NP, that Count Your Sheep one was really good. Since I found out about pretty much all good webcomics through here, make sure to post links to the good ones that haven't been mentioned.

Quote (MogMaster @ 1st February 2007 20:31) If I didn't say Steve and Mac, I think ZH would kill me. I like Steve and Mac, but it isn't my favorite. That has to go to Treading Ground. The guy has been updating the comic rather sparsely recently, but I don't care. It's good enough for me not to care. I also like Penny-Arcade and VGCats, but mostly for a weekly laugh. They aren't as quality as TG. -------------------- |

I voted for 8-Bit, but I'm also fond of Sinfest and VG Cats.

There are way too many webcomics out there for a poll to be a viable option at all.
My favorite webcomic is The Dugout, one based around baseball players discussing topical baseball news humorously through chat rooms. If you like baseball, you'll find a plethora of delicious funnies waiting for you there. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? Bob and George is probably my overall favorite... or at least it used to be. I haven't really read any webcomics in a looong time, though B&G was definitely my favorite back in the day. It's perfect for the Megaman junkie... though there are a lot of inside jokes now, so it's hard to just get into.

My list looks a little somethin' like this. I recommend them all, though there're many most likely know of.
Penny Arcade MacHall Comedity VGCats Homestar Runner 8-Bit Theatre a softer world Applegeeks And by proxy, Applegeeks Lite Chugworth Academy Gone With the Blastwave Bolt City Radioactive Kiwis by Beat! Paper Eleven I forwarn, this comic is amazingly fuggin' trippy with amazing artwork. Takes some focus to read, though. Also, anything else on the Clone.Manga site's pretty good with the exception of one that's just too fuggin' wierd for me. -------------------- Games on the Go Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy: Four Warriors of Light Baldur's Gate Too much to play, so little time! I'm all the way through CtrlAltDel, and I'm reading through 8-bit Theatre when I realized it's not blocked in school (215/803) When I catch up on those, I'll go for something different.

Not sure. Is it TSOLAR, the web's greatest source of 40K humour not on a forum? CAD or Penny Arcade? Could it be elf Only Inn, Count Your Sheep, Orneryboy, Last Days of Foxhound, maybe even Perry Bible Fellowship?

I agree with everyone in that I consistently check PennyArcade and VGcats, although
those are more like treats than addictions. I consistently read Least I Could Do, for its vicious self-centeredness (a great 'guy' comic) and SomethingPositive, a sarcastic take on life, liberty, and the pursuit of unhappiness. I think Starslip Crisis is just brilliant, for its rips on scifi, good writing, and consistency in bringing t3h funny. I've also loved both Antihero For Hire, for Webrunner's vision (despite his lack of any artistic skillz). And I've been enjoying DavidWillis' more-accessible less-dramatic Shortpacked!, which rips on the whole toy-collecting culture (more dramatic of late, though; I think he can't help it). And I can't help but be a Megatokyo whore, too. At least the abuse is abiding. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

Overall, I read way too many webcomics daily. I have a folder on my toolbar in Firefox that I middle-click each morning, and it opens 25 comics in tabs for me to read. 8-Bit, Ctrl+Alt+Del, PVP, Big Nate, FBofW, Get Fuzzy, Luann, Pearls Before Swine, Frazz, Zits, Stone Soup, Real Life, Penny Arcade, White Ninja, You Damn Kid!, Alien Loves Predator, The PBF, Dinosaur Comics, The Beevnicks, Elf Only Inn, Dr. McNinja, xkcd, VGCats, The Dugout, and Least I Could Do. I also have four comics in a Defunct folder that includes RPGWorld, IanComix, Secret of Mana Theatre (which isn't so much defunct as it updates on an incredibly terrible schedule), and Adventurers!.

My god. I completely forgot Perry Bible Fellowship. PBF might be one of the best things I've ever seen, and one of the only comics that consistently delivers gold.

Oh mon, QwantzDinosaurComics. Wow, I'd forgotten about them. Static images and
dynamic discourses. Great characterization, considering he uses what, clip-art dinos? EDIT: As reminded by Neal, that is. This post has been edited by A11smart on 4th February 2007 16:34 -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

Haha. I met Ryan North at Anime North last year with Kean Soo (who's a great artist) and he was quite the amusing guy. I asked why he created the Dino comics the way he did and said to me, "Well, I wanted to make a comic, but can't draw for the life of me, so I did this instead." It's quite amazing how well it's taken off. It's equally amusing that he's released his comics in book form. So, it's about 200 pages of the same images. Awesome.

If you loved the unnecessary but rico complexity of Evangelion or StarOcean, you
might like 2214. It was a link-sponsor of Megatokyo, and jarring in flow but vast in world. I swiftly burned through their 120pg archive into currency. Also read through the Goodbye Chains archive, starring a slick thief antihero in a western setting. Somewhat interesting, if virtually new. Ad-linked through Penny& Aggie. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

When it wasn't on hiatus, Wicked Alchemy was pretty cool. The artist was wonderful.
I also like Inverloche, though it went on hiatus as well. That's a pet peeve of mine: If an artist makes money off of their webcomics, I think it's disrespectful to their fans to either quit it for a while (if they're getting paid to do this, they should get fired!) or skip a lot of days doing comics. Dead Piro Days are a good example of that; they're okay every once in a while but they seem like a monthly thing. Ride made me cry. It's ended, after 29 amazing pages. I love it. As for funny, I like Sinfest, Real Life Comics, Toothpaste for Dinner/Breakfast (i forget which), and . Cyanide and Happiness is funny. -------------------- You're telling me that there's no hope. I like a lot of comics.
Steve and Mac Two roommates, one is a normal, good contributer to society. The other is probably wanted in a couple states. Totally awesome, totally. One Liners Comic about a guy that's a real ass. Funny stuff. Treading Ground Comic about a sarcastic clerk that works at Walmart. In fact, I just recommend most of the comics at IVComics I love You Damn Kid! and there's also Ornery Boy Two Lumps, Elf Only Inn, Gone with the Blastwave(Check this comic out, it's beautiful and hilarious), Dueling Analogs (Gamer comic). And the usual fare of VGCats, Penny Arcade, etc. I read Ctrl-Alt-Del but I don't really enjoy that comic anymore, it's becoming much less humorous, at best Buckley gets two good jokes a month. Kinda think he's sold out. -------------------- This one time I punched a bear in the forehead TO DEATH! I still have the scars on my chest. I am the manliest man that ever did man.
