there's an item in gaea cliff, remember the room where u have to fight and destroy the 4 icicles to make them fall on the ground?

on the right of the "balcony" there's a chest with (i think) a Fire Armlet and in the chest on the left there's an item called "Last Elixir"


what is the Last Elixir? i can't find it in any menù


help me

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be Mega Elixer if I recall. Did you even try using it in battle?

i remember that. i spent a whole half hour looking for that bleeding thing. so i wrote down all the items in my inventory, reset my console. got back to the elixir and the only thing added was infact a megalixir.
never understood why it was called "last elixir" but i dont recall ever picking up another megalixir after that point, unless you win it in the gold saucer...

It's just another example of poorly translated text from FFVII. As previous posters noted, it is, in fact, a megalixer. There's nothing special about it.

It's probably more of an inconsistency. The Japanese name for Megalixir is 'Last Elixir', but they probably just got lazy and forgot that they were supposed to call it Megalixir.

As already stated, it's a poor translation that appears as something else. There are several of these throughout the game. Anytime you obtain and item that doesn't appear under what it was called, it's a safe bet to assume it's under a different name.

Anyone remember "Off Course" in the battle arena of Gold Saucer?? This topic reminded me of that!

I'm surprised that could happen. Usually games have a generic "Found a '$0'!" message where they just do a bit of text-replacement with the item's name. The latter of which is obtained via the item data, so if the message is called for a potion, it'll use the item's name ("Potion") directly.

Then again, maybe it was late at night and the event scripters wanted to watch the big Squid Bowling game or something like that.

This topic reminds me of the instructions you get for running at the start of the game...

HA, I remember this. I was like "WHAT?"

I spend so much time looking for the 'Last Elixir' in the item menu, only to find out a couple of days later it was just a Megalixir, NICE!

Yeah, Last elixir is the japanese name of "Megalixir". Oh, and I'm playing FFVII for the first time in english ,and it surprised me as well when I picked it up in Gaea' cliff.
