I Was Wondering What Useless items in the game really get on your goat?
Mine is The Tissue.
You get hundreds of the things if you're really pants at the battle arena, then all your friends laugh at you. tongue.gif

even though everyone says they are DEADLY useful, i could never find a use for Dazers. i know, you can use them on ruby weapon, but they never helped me... dry.gif

that, the joke weapons (nail bat, mop, etc), and the masamune replica. the weapons suck (no materia growth?!?!?!) and the masamune replica just gives you bragging rights....which are useless as...you know......bragging rights are stupid

the masamune replica was a teaser. I was excited about being able to use it, and then: nothing. It's nothing. I was so disappointed.

Well, at the beggining of the game they were quite useful but at this point they were useless.

Do you guys remember the Rufus' Parade in Junon. If you messed up the TV ratings the producer sends Cloud a useless present, but in a funny way.

Producer - "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT GUY DOING? SEND HIM A BOMB OR SOMETHING!"

Recieved "Grenades"

I had t stop playing as I bursted in laugh. Then I had to take a shower because I peed my pants!

I love that quote. I remember when i got that in my first playthrough, rather funny.

the 1/35 soldiers pissed me off, i spent a while trying to find all 35, in junon, and then i though well maybe they're all over the world. and then later i realized, 1/35 scale.

I'd have to say the tissue or the world map, after you used it for it's event it was completely useless but then you could generate as many as you wanted. It all seemed so pointless.

I always considered the tissue a counter for the battle square. It gave an idea of how many times I fought in the arena thanks to the tissues. At least that was the only use I could find for them, the same for the Masamune Replica.

I thought the masamune replica was just one of those things used in false rumors to revive arieth. Is it actually real? cause i've never gotten it.

Yeah man. You get it from doing the Speed Square. I think you need 4000 points to have a chance of getting it. And it's really worth it trust me...

Close!

Tissues make the battles in the arena harder!

Try it. Fight until you cannot complete the battles, then sell all your tissues, and do easy fights!

The point is: you can't sell ur tissues and keep collecting the points, so you will always have really hard battles if you want to get lots of points.

And if you are going to go try and get points, SELL YOUR TISSUES FIRST!

And as for pointless items... how about all the Aeris weapons you get...

...after she dies

That always burned my arse.

And yes tissues are useful, so you might want to update that in the CoN info.

Potions are a neccesity if you plan on using the 154 HP to get 7777 HP trick.

But yea, After Aeris died everytime I looked at one of her weapons my hate towards Sephiroth grew...

She was my highest level character when she died >_<

Not to mention at that point, she probably has the best weapon of all your characters.

I think the greens all became useless once you could start buying Sylkis greens. Also, I never had much use for the "joke" weapons like Nail Bat and Mop. Dazers would be useful only if there was no Hades Materia to abuse. Most accessories become useless if you find all 3 Ribbons. Actually, I find all FFs to have a whole legion of useless little doo-dads; FF7 isn't too different in that respect.

I used Nail Bat to level Cloud with the Midgar Zolom trick.

I personally used the nail bat, i just switched his materia (which wasn't much) to his armor, and used the high attack power of the nail bat. A ton of items in this game are useless, including a lot of the materias. Sure some of them have their uses, but how often their uses are applicable makes some of them not worth the slots on your character.

As someone else mentioned, the Grenades, Bolt Plumes, etc. that you never ever bother to use and just keep taking up space on the inventory screen until they are useless as well as numerous. At least you can sell them, though.

Oh, and the fake weapons involved in all the internet rumors of yesteryear were pretty useless too. biggrin.gif The "Cloud's Gunblade and second Level 4 Limit Break, Cherry Blossom" probably top the list in my mind.
