Ahhh heck they should have given Boise State a shot, they are undefeated they should be given a chance...wait a minute...nevermind. Oh well let it be Florida and congrats to Urban Meyer who started out at my alma mater of Bowling Green, then went on to Utah and produced the #1 draft pick of 2005 in Alex Smith and moved onto Florida and in two years time is playing for the national championship...all in 5 years time. Pretty impressive but still GO BUCKS!!.

Actually ive been just real busy, i have faith in ND for their bowl game and hope Weis can get these guys ready, and also Quinn has won some big ones (#23 Pitt, #3 Mich, #22 Purdue, #19 PSU)
I think that the rose bowl goes to Michigan winning this one, Florida will put up a bigger fight than USC in the title game, but likely lose it. |

using Purdue as a quality win is possibly the most hilarious pro-ND argument I've ever seen in my life. Yes, and the two seasons Quinn has beaten Purdue were this season and last (5-6 record).

Quote (Crazyswordsman @ 6th December 2006 22:28) JaMarcus Russell is my favorite QB in all of college. He won't let me down. Geaux Tigers! -CSM JaMarcus Russell is ridiculous. I love watching him play. Speaking as someone who really has no ND bias one way or the other, LSU wins this game by 20. Other predictions: Oklahoma over Boise State by 7 If I was a voter, I would have voted Boise State in as number 2, just to be subversive. That said, they can't beat Oklahoma, but I think they can keep it close. Michigan over USC by 14. I'm not too excited about this one. I don't think USC was that good to begin with, and Michigan is going to come out with a vengeance. Louisville over Wake Forest by 3 Although not between traditional powers, I think this will be the best game of the BCS. I like the matchup of Louisville's offense vs. Wake's defense. Ohio State over Florida by 10 Like I said before, I think Florida is the 2nd best team, but Ohio State is just out of everyone's league this year. I think it would be more exciting to hand Ohio State the trophy right now and watch Michigan and Florida play for 2nd place. Edit CSM- Say what you will about ND fans, especially ones that have no real connection to the school, but it is a good school academically speaking. ^I didn't make that pic. I know ND is like tenth in the nation or something. I just thought it was funny. Frankly, that's probably why they're so worshipped (the same way Duke is in basketball). But lots of other football schools are strong academically. Michigan of course, and also Cal, UCLA, Boston College, Florida, Texas, and Wisconsin, just to name a few.
Here are my bowl predictions: Rose: Michigan 28 USC 20 In the past, Michigan has been weak in bowls. Not this year. They have something to prove. And this matchup might just be a preview of next year's NC game, assuming Michigan's offensive stars are returning (Jake Long may be the one that's most likely to go). Michigan will be hit hard on defense after this year, but they still have some people, and will pick up some slack easily. Fiesta: This will depend if Adrian Peterson is healthy or not: With him: Oklahoma 31 BSU 21 Without him: BSU 24 Oklahoma 21 Sugar: LSU 37 ND 17 SEC power baby! Orange: Wake 13 Louisville 7 I gotta go with Wake. They're the story of the year. NC game: OSU 34 Florida 24 Yes, this is the matchup that should have happened. However, Michigan is a better team than Flordia. -CSM This post has been edited by Crazyswordsman on 9th December 2006 07:47 -------------------- The NEW Final Fantasy Wiki! Join us! |

Okay, that was not just the best bowl game I've ever watched, it was hands down the best college football game I ever watched, maybe in fact just the best football game I've ever watched. If you didn't watch the Fiesta Bowl tonight, I'm sure it will be an instant classic any minute now. I'm not even going to try to describe the last 3 minutes and overtime, just...wow.

2nd only to last year's National Title game for me. I love Boise St. I really thought they were done when their qb threw that God Awful pick-6 with a minute to go.
Amazing ending. The hook and ladder followed by the Statue of Liberty play to win it? Absolutely mesmerizing. God why can't they just have a playoff? It's not fair. -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |

I'm going to shoot myself in the foot right now. I'm so sick of hearing "Fight On" that my anger at Michigan for not showing up in Pasadena takes a backseat to getting "Fight On" out of my head.

I was about to come and post the same thing that Gears said. It was definitely the best football game I'd ever watched. I only wished I had recorded it! That, combined with the Rose Bowl, made for a very nice afternoon of ball to watch.

Notre Dame gets blown out in Sugar Bowl; World wonders what they were doing there.
That was a waste of a BCS spot on a two loss team when there were better ones out there (eg: Rutgers, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech) -CSM -------------------- The NEW Final Fantasy Wiki! Join us! |

You know, the Gators just didn't deserve to be in that championship game. No way. They're not in the same league as Ohio State.
... I guess all the people saying that were right, at least last night. ![]() This post has been edited by Rangers51 on 9th January 2007 12:54 -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Sweet vindication. I challenge anyone to try to say SEC isn't the best football conference this year.

I haven't seen that logo since leaving Gainesville. It's a pleasure to see it splashed
proudly after a truly impressive performance. And I love that the CoN's subscription system was good enough to remind me of this thread; ha! -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

Troy Smith and OSU were embarrased at there bowl game, more than my ND irish, we put up a better fight and Brady was only sacked once compared to Troy Smith getting sacked 5 times.
Next Year, the Irish will return to glory with the new QB, Defensive Coordinator and a strong new O-Line. |
