The Opera scene. I admit it. I never liked it that much. It was so irratating to hear Celes sing, and the first time I played the game, I didn't know what to do. -CSM

There isn't alot I dislike...except Cid. More specifically, saving Cid, which has no reward or consequence at all. He'll just stay there. Or die. You still get the Palidor Esper, so...Well, at least there's more development for Celes if you kill the old man.
After playing the game so many times, I can't really say the dungeons are hard, but I hated all those 'split-up' dungeons when I was a kid. Of course, now I know how to use the Save Points correctly... -------------------- |

It was too easy. If I made this game, I would increase the level of difficulty.

The only thing I can think of right off hand that annoys me about FFVI are the generic responses your party gives during parts where you can bring anyone along, and how those generic responses don't even have a name tagged to them. It seems like all four of them are talking at once! I know it's an older game and everything, but I still prefer people having their own individual reactions. ^^;
I wasn't too partial to the Floating Continent, either, but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. I actually liked the Phoenix Cave, even though the first time I went through it, my computer screen was so dark that I had a hard time finding the switches. =P -------------------- Come with me so I can show you how to live Burning the candle at both ends I’m gripping at the walls around me Don’t complicate it I’m addicted to this life I’ll be your token of attention All my lies come down to this -Orgy, "Beautiful Disgrace" |

One thing I didn't like was how few tile sets there were...I mean, when you count them up in your head there's a lot, but there's only two different kinds of cave, one kind of forest, etc. The translation was good but it was sparse. Otherwise it was a great game, I belive it beats FFVII.

I agree with what SuperManBoy said on the first page of this topic. The mistakes in the game sort of make it better. So I wouldn't change a thing about it. The mistakes make it a classic.

Saving Cid was a pain because i never managed it. Trying to find items in the Phoenix Cave and the like got a little annoying, and so was Kefka's Tower until i realized
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Moogle Charm, duh! Apart from these i think it's just the Statues. |

Let's see...
1.) The Ending. Not because there's anything wrong with it, just because it means the game's over! (I know, I know) 2.) Cid. The guy just frustrated me - he instantly snapped from evil mad scientist (the dude had espers locked up in glass tubes!) to your new buddy in an instant. If he was going to get off scot free for his sins, he could at least join you. 3.) It's been said, but the Dream Stooges are not a boss. I like the three stooges - Cyan's demons were worth getting out, but they weren't chowderheads. -------------------- I hear the jury's still out on...science. I totally agree with you. I hated playing the game the first time because i didnt understand why the characters look so bulky. And the fact that it starts in such a dark town wasnt too thrilling (it made it seem the entire game would be like this). Of course it ended up becoming the best game ever....EVER!!!!! -------------------- I'VE HAD AN ETERNITY TO PONDER THE MEANING OF THINGS. AND NOW I HAVE AN ANSWER... |

I hated strago from the start. I could deal with relm but he irritated me so much any part he was in I hated. The whole Hidon Part felt like a waste of time.

The Part i hated most was going through Ebots Rock. Thoughs treasure chest really drived my patience.
And another part that irritated me was trying to find and kill Doom Gaze...ugh! Id always end up fighting him in my worst condition. Jerk! -------------------- You Can't Escape... Nowhere to run... Nowhere to hide... |

It's a great game and all and I love it, but I have one main gripe about it.
Too easy. Maybe it is because I've played it 9 billion times, but the final boss was too easy, even without stuff like ultima or Illumina and the like it was over way too quick. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun fight, the whole...well, if you've beat it, you know the whole order thing. I though that was cool A good idea for the remake would be bump the final boss' defense up quite a bit, or just double his hit points. I mean, he's got some wicked attacks, but considering how long it takes for his 'ultimate move' to charge and fire, it's not that powerful (looks cool though.) Otherswise...maybe Cyan isn't as good in battle as we would like and gets awful equipment...but again, since it's too easy, no need to worry about that. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. Nixon So if you're done reading this, you know I have nothing to say and you've wasted your time. Thank you come again. |

And FF6 was way too easy because you only needed to be around 40 to beat the game (assuming you're not aiming to have a lower level) and magic was overpowered (anyone could be a White, Black or Time Mage) and the equipment you could gather made you all but invincible. And you can defeat the last boss in one turn. -------------------- "A little tight, but the price was right" - Locke "Oh, what a Fuddy Duddy" - Relm "..." - Shadow "I'm a General, not some love starved twit" - Celes "Although Edgar showers his attention on the ladies, most are smart enough to pay him no attention.
