I'm looking for a wii, i've tried ebay(don't have 700+$), walmart, gamestop, amazon, etc. and i don't know where else to look. If anyone now's where i can get one please post a link or suggest something.
Thanks.

Lots of people in your boat, myself included. Sure, I got one at launch... but I'm hoping to make my little brother's Christmas better than it's going to be with both me and my father out of town. :-/

700+ on Ebay?! Wow, I was really lucky as I got my Wii on Ebay for 300 dollars (340 counting shipping) on launch day. And after playing it it was certainly worth it.

All I can say is that it'll be hard to find one that's not at an insane price. So you should probably just wait untill after Christmas, when people will be returning them back to the stores big time.

This is exactly what I'm doing. I picked up a couple PS2 games to tide me over in the meantime...

I'm not inclined to think people will be returning them, I just thnk that more shipments will come in after the holiday.

Also keep in mind that this is holiday season and practically everything that is remotely popular is in higher demand than can be supplied. Considering that the Wii is only shipping so many units every so often, it's not hard to believe it's difficult to get your hands on one. Still, after the holiday season the frenzy should die down and more will probably be made readily available. If not, try calling one of your local stores that carries the Wii and see if you can't have one put aside for you to pick up.

Otherwise, try random obscure electronics stores. That always works for me.

Well, it's better than the people who dumped $800+ to get them early on Ebay smile.gif

Just wait until they become a little more common. You've survived with your previous consoles up until now, a few weeks or so more can't hurt. wink.gif

Really, I'm absolutely amazed at the people who'd pay upwards of a few thousand for a PS3 on eBay, or a few hundred extra for a Wii. It's ridiculous - these people are so caught up in this thing they can't wait a few months to get, get this, a gaming console. Chances are their wages won't even cover the extra they pay in the time it would've taken them to just wait it out. wink.gif

Meh, maybe it's just a race to some.

Don't underestimate the pressure on some people to have a Wii/PS3/whatever under the tree by Christmas morning. It's how I sold a PS3 for $1200.
