sure, easy if you attack 7/8 times in a row causing between 7200 and 9999 each time.

since i have yet to complete FF6, (beaten by the 4th thing that kills 2 people on final move) i don't like this video because it makes me look crap

FF6 is not a hard game to beat if you powerlevel your characters and exploit its many opportunities to get supercharged. That's why you gotta play by your own rules to keep it fun after 10 years.

Dude, that's like, 8 supercharged attacks in a row! what about guys like me who had to actually attack with my first four guys!

I think this is more of a recording problem than an emulator problem. When I play the game on an emulator, everything sounds just fine.

The tower is easy if you level your characters between lvl 60-70 and make sure everyone has Ultima.

Well of course, if everyone has Ultima, you can win easy! Ultima's like ten pounds of kick-ass in a five pound bag! There's no way Kefka can win when there's four people dishing out a supercharged Magic attack at him. I mean, he doesn't have that much HP to begin with, does he???

I think the problem is with Final Fantasy 6, not "over levelling". I mean the end boss should be challenging regardless of a persons equipment and levels. Why give you these side quests that give you sweet items if the items end up making the game a complete breeze.

I think they caught on to their mistake with FF7 because they ended up putting in the Weapons, each having like a million HP, almost making it neccessary to have KOTR, and Master Materia.

The items (Offering, Gauntlet, Gem Box, etc.) should be neccessary to beat the final boss, not just a quick win.

BTW if you want to play a challenging version of FF6 there are hacks out there. Just check the emulation page found right here on CoN.

I disagree... Final fantasy 7 was just as easy. Sephiroth was easier than the weapons, so you didn't have to fight the weapons at all.

I think the point is also to make it possible for the dumbest person to get through if necessary, but it takes extra time to get those items. So you can get through by hunting down all the items and spending hours getting them, or you can not get the items and deal with the challenging fight.

If they were necessary items, then the developers would be accused of artificially increasing the game length with treasure hunting quests.

You have to admit that FFVI is lacking in the "ridiculously hard optional boss" category. VII had the Weapons and most FFs after have something like that. Even before VI, you had Warmech in I, and Omega and Shinryu in V. I don't know about all the other FFs, but VI is definitely lacking.

And yeah, Kefka was a joke.

I think VI is when they started focusing less on challenging gameplay and more on presenting a cinematic storyline.

However, Kaiser Dragon in FFVI Advance should prove to be a formidable superboss.

FFVI itself is a pretty easy game.

LLGs and no-experience challenges are completely possible

I'll admit in my first play through I believed it was hard. the truth is, I had just never put a thought into anything.

there are many useful strategies to use in FFVI, go out and experiment, strategize, find out how fun (and easy) FFVI really is.

Edit
and by the way, Shadow can kill kefka much quicker

I think that was just a rumor, it sounds ridiculous. "too much damage to count" I've never tried it, but I really doubt it would work.

Final Fantasy 6's difficulty is very easy in comparison to that of, say, FFV or FFIV.

The game is easier because all your characters can become equally effective casters, healers and attackers. It's also too easy to spam extremely powerful attacks such as Edgar's Drill, Sabin's Bum Rush, several of Gau's Rages, several of Strago's Lores, Cyan's Dispatch, etc.

Basically if your characters are over level 50 with the best equipment in the game, you're nearly undefeatable. This game can be solo'd with any one of the characters (although Umaro hasn't been completed... yet), it can become a Low Level Game, a Natural Magic and Equipment game, a No Equipment, No Magic Game. It's very obvious the game has abusable systems, including Vanish/Doom, or Vanish/X-Zone, Psycho Cyan, and 129% mblock.

The Esper system also has the ability to raise your character's stats to rediculous levels, making your first moves in the game hit the damage cap without much effort. Locke can also rip apart any boss, as in the video seen above (even more easily) with the Valiant Knife and Atma Weapon.

Bottom line is: The game is easy mode.

--------------------
"A little tight, but the price was right" - Locke
"Oh, what a Fuddy Duddy" - Relm
"..." - Shadow
"I'm a General, not some love starved twit" - Celes
"Although Edgar showers his attention on the ladies, most are smart enough to pay him no attention. Oh! King Edgar!" - Figaro Castle Inn Attendant

what verson of FF6 was that? cause the "attack" sounds sounded like crrap mad.gif . Other than that, yea this guys rank, so what? sometimes its funner to challange yourself. Like i would of been impressed if he killed Kefka in one shot with gau:P. anyway, all im saying is that if you beat it easily the first time, good for you, for the second time, though, make it interesting. Use the underdogs like Umaro, or Strago, or Gau wub.gif . thats all happy.gif

I think it is sad that Kefka is that easy. I have beaten him many times and I've never seen the Fallen One Spell. To me, Kefka is one of the greatest video game villians of all time. Even though the fact that it is easy to kill him doesn't take anything from that, it would have been nice if he was harder to defeat.

Sounds like SNES9x to me.

Zsnes has much better sound quality, and Bsnes has near pefect sound.

but snes9x is the first emulator to come with video for snes

zsnes has it, but you have to download extra stuff to get the incoding part to work.
