Very simple. Â That is, of course, if you even read webcomics.
Here is a short list of the sites that I hit daily: • CTL + ALT + DEL • Konsekai: Swordwaltzer • No Need for Bushido • And the King of webcomics... 8-bit Theater! -------------------- ~Status Report~ * Completed... Dragon's Head * Completed... Soldiers of the Empire: Disciples (release pending) * In Progress/Undecided... Of Love and Betrayal * Planning/Assembly... Where it all Began |

I like to start off with a little Big Nate. Â It's a daily comic, very entertaining.
It's not necessarily an internet comic, but I thoroughly enjoy Get Fuzzy. Â It's hilarious about a naive dog, a vicious cat, and their sarcastic owner. Â It's like a non-stale Garfield with better characters. 8-Bit Theater. Duh. RPG World is another one of my favorites. Â It's moving kinda slow now, and they're running out of FF7 aspects to play upon. IanComix is hilarious, but the author (same author as RPG World) doesn't update it NEARLY enough. I've begun reading Real Life Comics recently. Â They rule. Â It's about gaming and crap. Â Well, not really crap. I used to read Adventurers a lot more frequently, but I would always fall behind, and since they used to update every day, I'd fall multiple comics behind and would never remember where I left off, so I'd lose it again. Â But it's still cool. -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? And hey, put the laptop down for a while In the night there is something wild I feel it, it's leaving me |

8 Bit Theatre - Yes, I like reading this too. I'd like to think I'm the inspiration for Princess Sara.....
Billy the Egomaniac - The one who does this is a lot like me. She's and artist and fellow Smashing Pumpkins devotee. The comic's cool too. I look at other stuff too but I can't remember the URLs and things of that nature and I'm too lazy to search around. -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" Right, well I'll just fill in what I haven't seen so far:
Sinfest <-- A neat comic, plus the writer/artist usually has an interesting rant up. MacHall <-- About guys (and one girl) who live in a college dorm. Boy Meets Boy <-- This one originally was about one gay couple, but lately it's about the band that Harley (of Harley and Mik, the couple) is in. Very funny, and cute. MegaTokyo <-- Two otaku get stuck in Tokyo. Sluggy Freelance <-- I don't really know how to describe Sluggy Freelance...it's better to experience it. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Wow, I can't believe no one's mentioned Penny Arcade yet.
Sinfest rocks my socks. Something Positive - not for the faint of heart Skinny Panda - is genius. Also Machall is good (better if you're a guy), but the site seems to be down right this moment. -------------------- "Turd-cookies!...they're hot and soft, though..." Another one I tend to go to that hasn't been mentioned is  Bob and George (which is a Mega Man sprite comic, despite the name).

Elftor - A funny comic about an elf dude who kills people, drinks beer and has a friend who's a piece of cheese. Terribly hard to explain, just read!
Megatokyo - No explanation, you MUST read. PvP Online - Read. No questions asked. And one more Residence Life - A funny comic about so University students. Funny. Again read! Many many more but can't name all of them can I? |

looks like everyone already said 8-bit theatre.
Bob and george comic strips - funniest take on the megaman games for NES, also some other stuff he added. theres another one but i forgot the URL, fo to a search engine and type in final fantasy sonic comics, the title pretty much speaks for itself, FF with sonic characters. oh and hes not quite as experienced in making comics as 8-bit theatre. -------------------- Why do kamakazi pilots wear helmets? |

I've been checking out Insane Sprite World sometimes.
The Crossover Comic Archive is also kind of cool too. and Mr.T vs everything has some good comics that okay for me. and last but not least my own Pokefantasy is getting around too. I've been working on these ones some times when I'm getting bored or want to update my web site with something. edited: I've redid the url to my comic's new page. Josh, we're soulmates XD I don't like Megatokyo either. Ozy and Millie
Anthro comic that used to be real good, but now it's getting rather pretencious and a bit too political for my tastes. Â Hopefully it'll turn back. Â As it is, it's still good. Bob and George Oh I'm sure somebody has told you 'bout this already. Megatokyo I know somebody has told you 'bout this already. Sinfest Funny as f*ck! Â It's a true comic strip. Â Lil story arcs every once in a while, but mostly a day by day thing with no larger plot to follow. Â Very Bloom County ish...only with swearing. 8-bit Theater Oh yeah.... ![]() -------------------- |

Almost all of mine have been mentioned and linked, so I'll just say them for the sake of saying them.
Bob and George - The original sprite comic, and still one of the best. The name is a bit misleading, since it's themed after the Megaman games. Also, it provides further proof that Proto Man is really, really cool. Megatokyo - Really neat online manga style thing by Fred Gallagher. His artwork is great, and his unique method of storytelling always piqued my interest. (Of course, being a guy, I'll have to say that I prefer Largo, Ed, Dom, and Junpei.) 8-bit Theater - Yeah. Absolutely everyone has at least heard of this, so I guess the title speaks for itself. RPG World - Pokes fun at RPG oddities, and has interesting characters to boot. I have this strange liking for Ian's art style, as well. Mac Hall - Another webcomic created by an Ian, McConville's art is awesome, augmented by some interesting computer effects. The plot is sporadic, but the humor is very funny, and very random. College Roomies From Hell! - Probably the only "mainstream" traditional webcomic that I read, CRFH!!! has great characters and plot. It's really weird sometimes too, which is a plus. -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L. A week? Bah! 36 hours for 1-293. What's more pathetic, the fact that I ran through it in a day and a half, or the fact I can remember the number of the one I caught up to date on?

I got excited by i90east his thread on cartoons, but then I realized that it was just TV-shows. Bummer, as I wanted to discuss what may be today's most prominent branch of art when it comes to non-profit amatures: webcomics.
Well, in this world the worst of wrongs can be corrected. And behold: a thread. So what webcomics do you read? Which ones can you recommend to the rest of the world? For me: Striptease Comics. Superbly drawn, great characters, romance, humor, sex, a goth and finally some craziness. What more could you want? 8-Bit Theater. Similair to the Simpsons, the only downside to it is the fact that everybody knows about it. Girly. Although lesbians as a concept for webcomics have probably been done a million times by now, this one is extremely funny, cute in its drawings, and now and again there are ten-feet dildos or talking German pancakes to have you chuckle for the rest of the day. Finally, General Production Fault, probably my favorite. Updated every day, this comic may seem kind of Dilbert-ish until you are drawn inside a world were Sean Connery is evil, time-travelling is fairly normal and a few computer-geeks are unknowingly the key to saving the universe.
