I've restarted FFV through the GBA version, and I have a couple of questions concerning Blue Magic in this game.

1. What Blue Magic spells would you say are the most useful?

2. Are there any that are gotten from enemies that eventually stop appearing?

Thanks in advance ! smile.gif

1. I'm a big fan of White Wind, Mighty Guard, Aeraga, and Death Claw, just to name a few. I always love Blue magic in just about every FF game, though, so I always train at least two in FF V.

2. This one I'm not so sure of. I think Magic Hammer might be one after you kill the second Byblos-looking boss, but that's the only one I can think of. There are a ton of enemies in the last series of dungeons that have recycled Blue Magic spells.

As for most useful, I vote for: White Wind, Lvl 5 Death, Mighty Guard, the Aero spells, Death Claw, ????, and AquaRake. All have their uses though. For instance, Vampire is a very useful drain spell for healing, Emission and Missile both do decent damage, Blow Fish (1000 Needles) is very powerful early on, but also nice against high def. enemies.

Actually, you should be able to learn Hammer from "Drippy"s - they are occassionally found in the cave portion of the CoD, also Hiryuu Valley, if you can still get there.

Oh sure, I don't have to get kicked in the junk to activate it, but I like it anyway. -- Thief commenting on the difference between Throw and Blue Magic.

Same as above, plus i wanna add "Fusion". That thingy rawks. And #level-spells; kill all enemies with lvl5-doom or lvl3-flare (or whatever their numbers were), very useful if you know who are vulnerable to them.

I think you can get all spells at the end of the game one way or another, but many spells have lost their usefulness at that point. It's best to learn as early as possible.
