I think the stupidest thing is that there items which Umaro can equip but...  Umaro can't equip things.  If somebody begs to differ and knows how items like the Bone club can be of any use.  Smack me in the head then tell me how you can use them.  What do you think is the stupidest thing in this game?

have you ever tried throwing them at an enemy? the bone club does some serious damage when thrown.

Thankyou for telling me that.  I'll go test it out.  But still you have to admit.  Why do they have an item that he can equip?  Hmmmmmm.  Maybe I should submit a rumor on how you can equip stuff on Umaro.  LOL!

i do agree that it is stupid to give you items you can't equip. but this isn't the only ff to do that (i.e. ff7- sephiroth's sword masmune and ff9- beatrix sword save the queen).

Well actually...talking about Umaro's equipment, his armor, the Snow Muffler, can be equiped on either Mog or Gau...making it the best armor of both characters...

Umaro can equip them. If they're in the inventory, like Bone Clubs, he automatically equips them. You can't open his equip screen, but try this: Pick equip, then push left. Every character should be selected. Press A and you can see everyone's full equipment on 1 page, including Umaro's. You can see what he has equipped, especially is you want your snow muffler back.

Umaro cannot equip anything but relics, he comes with a Bone Club and Snow Muffler on his own.  The two items merely have him as able to equip them since he is able to equip relics and therefore has a reserved bit for himself in the equip bytes of each item.  It wouldn't make sense if he were unable to "equip" his own armor or weapon if he had the ability to do so.

IOW, Umaro's name is on Bone Club and Snow Muffler to look good and shut questioning mouths.  They serve no purpose since you can't touch Umaro's Equip slots.

Wow thanks for telling me that.  It's very intersting.  But still...  now I always could understand the snow muffler because other people can equip it but... why another bone club.  I mean if they just did it for a collecters item, it's kind of cool but I think a cooler collecters item would be like... a magitech suit that no one can equip (or just Umaro:lol:).  LOL!  I'm sorry but that would be the coolest thing.  Not as cool as this guy though 8) .

You get a Red Jacket if you bet a Bone Club in the Coliseum, which is pretty good armor for Edgar (Genji Armor is better for him, though, but when you don't have many Genji Armors, you could give it to him) and Sabin (it's Sabin's best armor, as unlike Edgar he can't equip anything better).

personally I hate loosing an item that can inflict great damage just for a piece of armor. If I actually need the extra defense (usually don't because all of my characters are generally at lvl 99) I'll just cast shell.

Yes, but the only thing you can do with a Bone Club is throw it. It's really not all that powerful anyway. You can get a Bone Club by betting a Sniper, which is buyable.

ok, just you let you guys know you're going off topic, and
the staff dont like that.

anyway, i think the stupid thing about FF6 is when you bet
something in the colloseum you lose the item you bet even
if you win. i hate that, if i find something stupider than that ill
post it.

Very true! I have to agree that that is the stupidest thing too cause I cant really thing up anything else...

Unless you don't count Celes' Runic blocking YOUR magic attacks too.

OMG, YES!!  Celes' Runic blocking your own magic.  x_x  That was always so annoying when I cast a spell...only to have it absorbed my own party member.  :(  Ah, well, water under the bridge.

And it would have been nice to keep the item you bet in the Coliseum, too.  That would have given your victories that extra touch to them, but it would also mean that such sacrifices as Ragnarok for Illumina would mean, well, less.  o.o

And...that's about all I can say bad about the game.  Otherwise, it's great.  :p

I completely agree.  Using Cure3 on all party members, only to have Celes absorb it all and gain a mere fraction of its healing power.  What a waste!

I also hated when you paid Shadow to come along, then after a couple of battles, he left the party.  I always ended up restarting.  He is, after all, my fav character (especially because of his theme music  :) )

It's better off that way to add more strategical depth to your battles.  It makes you think more, which makes the game better.

What he's saying is that it's NOT stupid, and I think I have to agree with him. What's the point of an all-powerful defense against 90% of all regular and special magic?

I'm also agreeing with the strategic nature of Rune (I didn't express that all too clearly in my first post >_> ), it was just that it always got me when I forgot that Celes would absorb my spells and I cast one.  x_x

So youre about to die and you cast an all expensive Cure 3 only to have it blocked by Celes. Then the next guy, your enemy casts, lets say... Flare 3 and gets you killed, thats pretty stupid.

But I wont discuss any further.

Damn... I was gonna come here to post something else that was stupid but I forgot! :(

EDIT: I remember now!

When you're in a battle and everyones low HP and so is the other guy, lets say its the boss Atma Weapon. I just need a Chain Saw attack to finish him off, but... Edgar attempts to use the "1 hit kill move (where he just gets rid of the enemy)"... BUT MISSES! Then Atma kills me. Dammit!

i dont know if i would call it stupid, but i do think its pretty strange that after a while in the game, certain enemies just lose hp for no real reason. im not sure why this happens, it just does, i guess theres no good explanation. well anyways, if we're gonna rap about what i think is the STUPIDEST things, i gonna have to say general leo's menu picture. he is one ugly dude. simple nitpick, but i cant think of anything in the game that i dont particularly like.

The winner of the stupidest thing in FF3 is "therandyhoards".  Yes after putting some thought into the stupidest thing in the game is how bad Leo looks.  I mean he's black in his menu picture and then white when you fight with him.  And I think the hair he has left is from having not enough rogaine.
