Since he/it is the most annoying character I have come across playing Final Fantasy, I decided to name him something unpleasant - so Cait Sith became "My Arse". Originally vindictive, I found this name resulted in several rather comic moments :
"What's My Arse doing?" "I can't believe My Arse is a spy" "What's up, My Arse?" And my personal favourite, on board the Highwind - Crewman "There's a message coming through, Captain, but there seems to be too much interference" Cid "Interference? From where?" Crewman "It.......it appears to be coming from My Arse, sir" Anyone else ever use a name that caused a great quote? -------------------- I like stories! well I'm taking it you dubbed in "arse" to not use profanity.
But I may say very funny results indeed. Quote Crewman "There's a message coming through, Captain, but there seems to be too much interference" Cid "Interference? From where?" Crewman "It.......it appears to be coming from My Arse, sir" I'm questioning putting that in my sig, if I do arse will be altered to ass. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

I named Red XIII Nanaki from the start once. At Cosmo Canyon..

Also, if you were to rename Aeris as "Bullseye", that will be what Cloud will shout when Sephiroth kills her.

Good work on the name Lenny. I liked having Tifa as "you tart". There was lots of "what do you think, you tart?" and "that's what REALLY happened 5 years ago, you tart." My friend put Red XIII as "that dog" purely for when they're in the Shinra building.
*Red XIII runs away* Tifa - "What happened to the guard?" Aeris - "I don't know, lets follow that dog." *They all chase it* -------------------- Scepticism, that dry rot of the intellect, had not left one entire idea in his mind. Me on the Starcraft. |

One guy on another FF forum named him "Cat Sh-" and I thought that was hilarious. For some reason, even though I've never seen the film, I like naming him "Fantasia".

these are quite amusing. especially the bullseye for aeris. That made me burst out laughing when i read it - and I plan to try this myself at some point (of course I'll just load in cheats, and only play until that point in the game, but it'll be funny) in the future. I've named yuffie some not so nice things in the past, manly because I'm not a huge fan of the materia-thief (in fact i hate her) seeing as how she stole my materia.

Lenny could also mean "ass" as in donkey, not the fowl language. Whenever I got the chance to name him, I always moved the "h" and placed it behind "i" to show my anger for him.

i always name him catsy because thats the name that was really intended in the japanese version of the game. i dont know why they translated it as two words instead when its really only one or especially why they made it sith. maybe they were trying to capitalize on star wars fame and make you suspect that

Haha, you know I never thought of it like that, good thinking there. Shame he doesn't have the added bonus of force lightning from his finger tips though. That could have been pretty cool. Maybe they could add that to the remake (if they go through with it).

.."Catsy"?
Uh, anyway, Zeromus is right. I'm not sure if there was actually a mythological Cait Sith, but the name is Gaelic and pronounced "Kate Shee." By the way, the "shee" of "Cait Sith" ("cat fairy") is the same as the "shee" in "banshee" ("fairy woman"). Sometimes it's spelled "Sidhe." A lot of these are really funny. Try naming Cloud "Playa" for his name. It actually sounds pretty funny because it's like he can't decide who he wants: Aeris or Tifa. Plus, he dresses like a woman to go into a mansion were women are (uh oh LOL).

I once accidentally retyped Aeris as AeriTH, because I used the letters in the CAPS section. I'd definitely have to say my best was(even though it's from FF IX) when I renamed Quina ''Dumbass''.
