Ok, as far as I know, I need to obtain the Soloman Ring, got it. The 6 Remedy+, got um. The 6 Steel Pipes. Got um... And 6 Malboro Tentacles, don't got um... I can't seem to obtain ANY Malboro Tentacles, and I keep using the Mug technique from Diablos, but Quistis keeps failing to steal anything. And now, I can't find them anywhere, no matter where I've tried, they're no where to be found!!! Can someone tell me where to find Malboros, and is there any effective way to get rid of the Berserk technique and any bad status effects? Because another reason is after I try and Mug it, it casts the Bad Breath technique, and casts Berserk on everyone, leaving me Mugless for the rest of the match, when I'm forced to run. Please help!

just equip status-def ability and out in 100 berserks or something along those lines. i believe you can also refine malboro tentacles from their cards, which you can get most anywhere

Quistis' Degenerator ability kills Marlboros instantly, and there's a better chance of you getting one off (with Initiative) than trying your hand at Mug. You can get the tentacles as drops, and I seem to remember getting 6+ when I did it not so long ago.

Having Odin swoop in works also, but Degenerator's still the easiest way to go. Save first!

Tried Heaven & Hell islands? There are plenty of Malboros on one of them, I think it's the east one.1 hit killing techniques are always welcome there, believe me. You will get your 6 malboro tentacles in a flash; that's also how I did get them.

problem is that those are all lvl 100's and there are other, more feirce monsters on the Island Closest to Hell where they occur most often that will crush anything in their path

The level doesn't matter - Degenerator will still kill 'em lickety-split. With Initiative, you've got a good leg up on the competition. I suggest heading to the Island Closest to Heaven to find the monster, as that's where I've always done my M-Tentacle harvests.

If you don't know Degenerator, win a Gesper card and Card Mod it (Quezacotl ability) to get a Black Hole. Then, use the Black Hole on Quistis and she'll learn it. You can actually get the item two hours into the game, if you took up card-playing pretty quickly.

They're VERY rare, but you can fight Malboros outside Esthar when you first arrive there. I use Quistis' Degenerator to kill them and win about six tentacles (keeping her HP in yellow the whole time, and trying to protect against Berserk and Confuse). Honestly, finding them is harder than killing thim. -CSM

thats why you go to the islands instead. they appear like there's no tomorrow.
on a side note, you could refine the diablos card and get 100 black holes if you dont want to search out a gesper card
