I need help with fighting Bizarro-Sephiroth! Mostly just because I can't attack him before he either revives his head or heals his torso, so I can never get a chance to attack his Core. My team is split into 2 parties. Cloud, Vincent, and Red XIII / Cid, Yuffie, and Tifa. I keep using my strongest summons and I have Cloud equipped with tons of strong magic spells and the Mega-All materia, but nothing seems to be working.
Before anyone asks, yes, I have read the CoN walkthrough on fighting Bizarro-Sephiroth, and it gives me the same info my strategy guide gave me. Does anyone have any tips on beating him? (Oh, and I didn't bother getting a Gold Chocobo and getting the KoTR materia.) -------------------- We, who cannot see into tomorrow, have no way of knowing... But... But... KOR is boring anyway.
Remember, it is not necessary to switch parties. As long as you can destroy all the other body parts with the exception of the core with one party, you'll still win (not the best explanation, but it's how it works for me). For my first time through the game, the standard boss battle preparations were to set up Wall, Haste, and Regen on the party. Then slam them with my best Limit Breaks/Summons/Spells. I was able to beat the game with little frustration without fancy KOR/Omnislash/other variant power Limit Break. I had Yuffie cast Ultima and summon Bahamut ZERO, Vincent set up buffs, and Cloud use 2xCut and use Meteorain when he got a Limit Break. Yuffie used Doom of the Living (of course your Limits will differ) when she got a Limit Break. Vincent healed and reapplied buffs when necessary. Then again, it never prompted me to split up...but I've done it with one team before even when I was prompted to make two or more teams. -------------------- |

If you have Barret, Cid and CLoud in your party this battle isn't hard at all.
MY typical set-up is 2w/ 4x-cut 2 with mime 1 w/ enemy skill 2 w/restore maybe counter paired with mime (barret loaded with mastered materia) If you have their final limits it's a piece of cake as a matter of fact the jenova battle before is prime for filling the limit bar. THe whole battel could be summed up Ungermax Highwind Omnislash (this will include Safer Seph.) However if this is your first playthough, dont let the music and ridiculously long battle animations get to you, you probably have a healthy stock of ethers and everyone hyas the capacity to cure just heal every round and attack in some way. Quote Solid strategy to use if you feel like it. Summons are a waste of MP in my mind though. For my first time through the game, the standard boss battle preparations were to set up Wall, Haste, and Regen on the party. Then slam them with my best Limit Breaks/Summons/Spells -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

I did that; counter attacks on everyone, 4x cut or slash all on everyone; Wall, Regen, Haste and then just attacked away at the correct parts. I never bothered with 2 teams, and I despise Chocobo breeding.

well, i only beat it once. What i did was basically over-prepare myself for the battle. I trained my characters up to lv. 99 and got knights of the round. I set Red XIII up with as much powerful magic materia as I could and also with KOTR - one hit with that took him out. The next battle, Cloud's Omnislash and Cid's Venus Gospel did a lot of the damage, and from there it was just a game of stay healthy and steadily do damage. But the training took a lot of time. Probably why i haven't ever played it again.
