Ok, what exactly does morph do? I figure that all it does is change enemies into items, but for some reason, it doesn't work! All my character does when equipped with it and select the spell, they just attack the enemy and do little to no damage compaired to their regular attack... What the Hell is going on? I'm trying to get the The Guide Book for the Kalm Traveler to get the Underwater Materia, but to no prevail.

The enemy has to be at a mere fraction of their original HP for Morph to work. I believe the number is under 10%, but it's been eight years since I played FF7.

Use it with Yuffie's Conformer wherever possible.

Yeah and the morph attack has to actually kill the enemy you are facing also (thats what i always thought anyway)

Yes, you have to actually kill the enemy with Morph for it to work, and no doubt you've noticed how crappy the damage is. But Yuffie's Conformer does alot of damage even when using Morph, which is why she's the best choice for Morphing.
