I had enjoyed kai9d9's topic "Post your fft party here" so much that I thought it may be interesting to see how we all equipt our different units. So without any further points, let's begin.

I have a 5 person team with a D&D slant to it. I tried to build it around a standerd/classic D&D party set-up. I use all Generic characters except for Ramza, as I put a lot of work into him. Names shortened in game where needed.

Eric - Knight (Ramza)
Primary - Excalibur
Secondary - Venetian Shield
Head - Grand Helmet
Body - Maximillian
Accessory - Germinas Boots

My "meat & potatoes" unit, Eric is the unit that heads strait into the fight while the other units get into possition. His Venetian Shield helps protect him from Wizards, which for such a weak unit I always seem to have the most trouble with. The Germinas Boots, along with his "Move +3" ability gives him the highest movement range of all my units,Movement of 7, placing him in the middle of the action all the faster.

Rebecca - Cleric
Primary - Sage Staff
Secondary -
Head - Ribbon
Body - Robe of Lords
Accessory - Chantage

Rebecca is the primary healer obviously, but also maintains an offencive bite with Holy and her Yin Yang Magic for times when healing is not a priority. She is usually the unit closest to Eric on the field. Her gear is all about status. With her gear she has Protect, Shell, Regen, Reraise, and all the protections of the Ribbon. A very strong unit, perfect for the task of keeping the other units alive.

Kevin - Rouge
Primary - Main Gauche
Secondary - Main Gauche
Head - Thief Hat
Body - Secret Clothes
Accessory - N-Kai Armlet

Kevin is a DD-unit that has the ability to switch gears to a support unit. He has some nice status protections with this gear, as well as super-evasion, not to mention speed and stealth. With this gear Kevin can be put into a good possition in the battle without much trouble.

Douglas - Mage
Primary - Faith Rod
Secondary -
Head - Golden Hairpin
Body - Black Robe
Accessory - 108 Gems

Find a quiet corner and let the mana fly, is the basic function of this unit. This gear is made to amp-up his power to the innth-degree. The status protection of the 108 Gems is secondary to the black magic boost it gives, that along with high boosted faith and another boost from the Black Robe makes this unit more Black Waltz then Black Mage.

Keeton - Minstrel
Primary - Fairy Harp
Secondary -
Head - Flash Hat
Body - Black Costume
Accessory - Vanish Mantle

Pure support, he stays close to Douglas to maintain his Either habit. This unit hides (with not only the Vanish Mantle, but with Sunken State) until he is needed, then does his thing until he is damaged, then stays hidden until he is needed again or can heal himself or reach Rebecca for healing.

Draco didn't really need a movement boost considering he had the Time Mage's Teleport movement ability. He had crazy attack power, dealing 240 with Ragnarok and 210 with Excalibur (that's against Altima btw)

Also had "Teleport," able to deal 815 damage to Altima with Drain.

Also had "Teleport," Able to deal over 500 damage to Altima with Holy Explosion

Also had "Teleport," able to deal nearly 400 damage to Altima with Holy Explosion

I know duplicating Excalibur is cheatin', but it makes things so much easier!

If you're paying attention, you'll see that I like Reflect Armor. It's because, with my current party, I don't use any Party based Magic. My Lancer is pretty much my thief. I try to learn all the Thief's action skills, and change him to a Lancer as quickly as possible. I don't like the Thief's low attack power and Health.

Jeremy is my fighter. I usually keep him a Monk or a Knight, but I'm trying to get him to master a variety of Skills. He's Usually the one that tends to status effects, only because Stigma Magic works well and hits the tiles around him.

Ah, Aegris, my favorite person in my party. I prefer her over Orlandu, just because she's Aegris. She's the one that runs around murdering everything, which is the reason for Secret Hunt. I don't have to give a damn about her, because of her high evade rate, her (Near) immunity from magic, and that Chantage always keeps her alive.

I often use the Divine knight in battles with the 'Special Knights'. So that's anyone that uses a Sword in order to use Skills. Ramza's Brothers for instance. Rofel, Balk, and Vormav. I'd use her against Elmdor too, but he uses swords from stock.
