Kefka's song...Shadow...Cyan's theme...and finally Relm's theme. These are my absolute favorite songs in the game...just because they are.

All of this is reminding me of a project I did for grade 12 music. I had to arrange a song and I took Jidoor's theme (the one in WoR) Celes's theme and world of balance map theme and put it into the three parts in that order. It was for 2 flutes, an oboe and a clarinet. It didn't turn out very well though
Yeah I like WoR Jidoor theme alot. I think it's actually called The Magic House though

My 4 top favorite themes are:
1.) Setzer
2.) Celes
3.)Terra
4.)Gau
Setzer is in first not only because I like his theme the most, but also he's my favorite character (Setzer being my favorite character may not pertain to this topic, but it explains why I put him in number one, along with liking his theme).

Heh, my least favorite character is Gau, but he has the coolest theme in my opinion.

I also really like Cyan's theme as a close 3rd. It sounds almost samurai-ish. I love anything that has to do with samurais, so naturally, I had to mention this one.

Since there seemed to be a lot of arguing over what song is who's theme, here's the lowdown ...

The song playing while you name any given character is that character's theme song. Doesn't matter what it's called on the album.

The song playing when you name Celes is "Under Martial Law", and we can all agree that that's not Celes' theme.

Just to maintain the topic, my personal favorite actually goes to Umaro. It's just got some sort of badassitude to it.

Alright, so there's one exception. I'll admit I don't care about Celes, and I never use her anyways, so I don't exactly pay attention to any of the game involving her.

So many fabulous songs.... so hard to CHOOSE!!! right now however, Kefka's theme rules (and the piano arrangement happens to be playing right now )

and Dancing Mad is just plain musical GENIUS!!! *drool*

i heard Terra's theme before, but with someone singing it in japanese.

Terra's Theme basically has the function of the Main Theme of FFIV, Main Theme of FFVII, etc. You hear it all the dang time. In the Opening Theme snow walk portion, in "Awakening," in "Metamorphosis," in "Save Them" (the OH NO!! music), in two different parts of the ending theme, etc. Yet I never get sick of it. It's my favorite 4-eva.

That's "The Wanderer of Time," Anh, from the "Final Fantasy: Pray" album.

By the way, Awakening does not, in fact, contain all of of the "Terra's Theme" melody. It's missing the, um... end part. The part that plays right before the song begins over again. You know?

My personal favorites are:

1) Terra - the sense of longing for a place to belong, neither human nor esper, but something in between. I also get a sense of lost innocence with Terra.

2) Cyan - his theme is wrought with tragedy, yet there is a sense of porpose and dignity there that reeks of nobility and honor.

3) Shadow - His theme sounds like there is a sense of regret and remorse in his soul. He seems to be incapable of coming to grips with his past and is unable to move on.

4) Celes - Romantic, yet cold at the same time. I also get a sense of redempthon from her theme.

5) Edgar and Sabin - I get a sense of loyalty and honor from this one, it's like they stayed true to their pledge even after all these years and most importantly they've stayed true to each other.

6) Locke - A sense of loss and newfound purpose. Plus, I sense profound loyalty to those he chooses to protect.

7) Mog - Happy-go-lucky and carefree, pretty much sums up Mog perfectly!

8) Stezer - I get a sense of wanderlust, like he hates being in one place for more than he has to be. I also get the feeling he likes to live life in the fast lane.

9) Gau - I get the feeling that he is a lost soul in need of a home. I also get the sense of free-spiritedness from his theme.

10) Relm - I get a warm fuzzy feeling with this one. It's calming and gentle. It captures Relm's playful innocence perfectly.
