I'm playing through the Lunar Ruins in FF4 Advance, and I was wondering if it is possible to redo someone's trial after you complete it? I realised that I stuffed Cecil's trial and I want to redo it again.
Thanks if anyone could help me. ^^;

In order to redo someone's trial, what you need to do is keep finishing each floor (walking through a door or something) and then the final floor in the Lunar Ruins, you come upon a boss named Zeromus EG. Then when you get into a fight with him, you use those Grimoires you got from the bosses. For example, if you beat the Lunar Dragon (Rydia's trial) you recieve the Grimoire LD from it. Use the Grimoires against the boss (LD means Lunar Dragon just in case you didn't know that. Same with LO, lunar odin and so forth)and then you can have unlimited access to the trials if you repeat this process. I've managed to get Rydia up to 999MP because I kept redoing her trial and getting Soma Drops.

Do you have to use the Grimoires against Zeromus EG? Or can it be any boss? I defeated Zeromus EG without using any Grimoires yesterday; I don't think I can face him for a few days...

And I haven't yet finished everyone's trial - still have Cid and the twins. If I only use the Grimoires I got from the trials I finished, does that mean I have unlimited access to those trials only?

Yes, if you only use the Grimoires from lets say Cecil's trial, you only can redo his trial infinitely. Yes, you have to use them against Zeromus EG. Don't worry, they give status effects and all that (for example, using the Grimoire LD, which is Rydia's, gives Zeromus EG the frog effect and he isn't able to use any magic,).

Not true, you can use them againts any enemy or boss. You can repeat any trail as many times as you want, as long as the Grimoire you get for completing that trial isn't in your inventory (Or the Fat Chocobo). Using the Grimoire doesn't give you indefinite use of a Trial either, since you get the Grimoire back at the end. Just use the Grimoire, and the door will become unlocked.

Edit
SetzerGabbianni147, how is what I said not easy to comprehend?

Okay, rurouni, here's something a little easier to comprehend. In order to keep doing each trial indefinitely, you must keep completeing it, and keep using each Grimoire you get from it. Here's a situation. I want to keep doing Rydia's trial. I complete the trial, use up the Grimoire you get from the Lunar Dragon, then enter the trial, complete it, use up the Grimoire and repeat the process.

footbigmike's explamation is easy to understand and covers all the main tidbits.
I completly agree with it.
As for using them on EG, I've never found him worthy enough to use them.
