not sure if anyone knows this, since i haven't seen it posted anywhere, but does anyone know that the master command materia linked with added-cut or hp absorb also works with 4xcut?

that means u could link up multiple master cmd materias with any amount of support materia and potentially get a 5-swing normal attack that absorbs hp/mp, steals as well etc. great thing about it is when u mime it, u mime the whole attack including the added cut, steal and absorbs.

i thought it would work well with the auto-AP strategies since u can keep the party going with only 1 character (the fastest char) using 4xcut with a master cmd linked with hp-absorb and the other 2 chars using mime.

to clarify,u mean that u link 4x-cut with, say hp absorp and then mime the life draining attck?

I rarely get master command materia
Isn't completely unneccessary, but a nifty idea indeed.

i was dissapointed at first when 4x-cut wouldn't work with HPabsorb, but now i realize it's overkill.

u can equip 4xcut by itself and it will work, u just need to link the support materia to master command. i think the game counts 4xcut as one of the commands from the master materia, probably by some kind of bug.

it might have been patched though, since i last played ff7 on my PS quite awhile ago. the thing i used it for was getting through regular battles quickly and stealing hp/items along the way. if you want overkill though, you could link another 2 master cmds to added cut and mp absorb.
