Or close to crying?

I watched the ending to FF9 and I must admit...

Come on be honest...

I see Aeris die in ff7, I cry. All I need is to hear the music combined with the visuals of the white materia bouncing it's way to the depths of that body of water, hearing the clink of it hitting each step along the way.

Also, the ending of ff9, but only the first time. I can't think of any others... but maybe for another one, too. Oh, the ending of FFX made me a little teary.

Yeah the FFX ending was quite touching but funnily enough I wasn't very much bothered when Aeris died.

Probably, but I can't exactly remember. Maybe the first time something tragic happened in FFV, but the second time it just got annoying.

Then again, I didn't cry at Pearl Harbor, but Forrest Gump made me cry so it really depends on my mood, not the script. :/

The only thing ever to make me cry in a videogame was in FFVI when you learn about Locke's past with Rachel's amnesia and death in Kohlingen...the music and Locke's reaction really set a depressing mood, at least for me

Almost all the FFs felt really emotional at some point, but FF9 and FF6 got me the most.

FF9 -
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Brahne's death was probably the one that got me the most, because of what Vivi said about her. "When I saw Dagger start to cry, I started to cry, too."
Vivi's speech at the end of the game is also pretty emotional, but I think the music is what does it for me.

FF6 -

Rachel givine her power to become the Phoenix esper. That scene was beautiful.

I know there's touching moments in the latter FF's but I can't imagine a 16 bit sprite making me break out into tears. I think I'd have to kick my own ass. Even though Aerith dying might have made me somewhat sad, I was a tender 14 when I played it, and when I played FF VIII, FF IX and FFX I just couldnt get as emotionally attached to a videogame character as that one faithful autumn where I avenged my sweet and pure polygonal love interest.

Normally I'd play "Mr. Macho" and say I never cry, especialy for a video game, but for the purposes of this thread, I'll be real and say:

FFIX's ending
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Mikoto's farewell speech to Kuja got to me as did when Steiner and Beatrix got together, and who didn't like Dagger and Zidane's reunion?

FFVIII
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
Not sure if this should qualify as a spoiler, but just in case; when I first found out about Laguna's past with Julia and Raine and when he reunited with Ellone in the last flashback scenario in Esthar.

FFVII
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
When Aeris died. I was actually un-spoiled by this event after first playing the game just about a year or so ago and it reminded me of Nei's death way back when I played through Phantasy Star II.

FFX
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
The love scene with Tidus and Yuna in the water during the beautifl starry night, yes I am a softy for sappy love stories.

Elia, Galuf, and Aerith are more emotional than the rest for me, though.

But usually after the first time, I'm pretty apathetic.

And in FF6,

In Final Fantasy IV, I knew I cried when Cid & Tellah died. I liked them, especially Tellah's quest for Revenge even though he knew it would kill him. And when Cecil called Golbez brother at the end.

In Final Fantasy VI: The Opera Scene always gets me, it's so... well, I'm not sure which word would fit it, but, yeah...

I'm really not happy because you've just spoiled the end of FFX-2 to me and I'm a bit p***ed off.
