Wow, I have been trying to post this topic for a day and a half. Thanks, Hostrocket, for doing your best to keep the site barely functional.

Anyway, Audioscrobbler is something you've probably noticed if you've spent any time in chat the last couple days. It's a plugin for Winamp, or just about any other music playing program out there. When you install it, it will track what you listen to. Once it gets some tracking data, it will give you a complete list of what you most-listened artists and songs are, for your reference - also, it will use that information and cross-reference it with the rest of the AS database to show you who is most like you in listening habits, making it possible for you to find new artists and songs that you might want to try.

I know at least four peope here use AS already - me, Elena99, Hikaroo, and Soup/Avalon. So why don't you post the link to your AS listing in here?

Oh, and here we go. I got the G4Jukebox (one of the graphic design Macs that we use to play our music at work) set up with AudioScrobbler. You'll find a nice diverse selection when it gets loaded up.

I have upwards of 500 songs so it's spread out irregularly. And there are over 100 Rush songs, so yeah they're in the lead.

Bah @ no WMP plugin...WinAmp is just too much of a hastle for me and I dont' want to bother with it again so I guess I'm going to stay Scrobble-less until they make a Media Player plugin...

I'm having that problem as well. I took Audioscrobbler for a re-test drive today and it wasn't collecting any data at all. Re-downloaded the plugin just in case. Still nothing. Downloaded Winamp, and then the Winamp plugin. Still not collecting. I got "Currently listening to: so and so", but it never collected in the database. WTF, mate?

Make sure to check versions and give it time. I redownloaded everything yesterday and it just started relaying it back today.

They've rejiggered the way that submissions are handled to reduce server load. Your queue of recently played songs aren't thrown online in real time, they're stored in another queue and updated one-by-one whenever the server can handle it. I think about a half hour delay in song updating is about the norm now, but it will always get your "now playing."

Really Josh? Last night, I was listening, and refreshed the page, whan a song switched, and it wouldn't showing the "Now Playing" thing again. Feh, maybe it just takes a while.
