Is it true that if I use vanish and then x-zone on Doom Gaze, I won't be able to get Bahamut? What would be another method to get Bahamut!? Can I use some kind of cheat/code that will get me Bahamut or would that screw up the game? DO I have to start over!!!!!?

Yes, it's true, and there's no other way than savestate hacking to get him in your party. Using X-Zone cancels an enemy's final attack; Doom Gaze fnial attack is giving you Bahamut. Therefore, using X-Zone will cancel Doom Gaze's giving you Bahamut.

Only for the battle. Just go look for him again. And when you find him, use Vanish/Doom instead.
