I'm going with generica dragoon FFT with escutcheonII and JavelinII, maximillion. 97 brave 10 faith. Blade Grasp. even if all of those characters attacked with excessivley powerful limits, it would be blocked.

What if your limitbreak was so ridiculously compensating, it stands up into space (it's
visible on the curvature of the planet!) and smashes down as an area effect? It almost becomes a magic-based area-of-effect, rather than specific hit. BladeGrasp seems iffy in that situation. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

Cloud Strife, hands down.
If anyone actually is challenging for him, he Omnislashes (Or Omnislashes - Version 5, *drool*) and be gone with the opponent. -------------------- "I fell off the mountain of words at around the 10,000ft mark. Id say it'd be a close match between Cecil and Cloud .Im not sure which one would win though. But they could own anyone else. If it were magic though, Palom would own everyone with Meteor or flare.

Zidane's got other things on his agenda than wasting time in an all-out melee...
![]() Although, I can see him being the underdog, as I think he'd be able to stay alive long enough for the others to take each other out. He'd just win by virtue of, y'know, being the only one able to stay out of everyone else's testosterony show of swordage. ![]() |

The only people on the list who have magic limits are Kuja, and Zidane And as for the rest who use magic, that'd do minimal damage. And who's to say this isn't a female Dragoon, that's right you all know what that means. Chantage ![]() Vs. Cloud Simple, blocks the first strike of omni-slash, or grabs the blade on the first strike, the stabs him in the face with his spear Vs. Cecil or Bartz, Sadly any magic or physical attacks from any of these guys would be pointless Vs. Sephiroth, No limit higher tier spells (too bad they'll all do minimal damage), his physical attacks will all be blocked. Vs. Zidane, First real challenge his limits do high damage that I believe is magical Grand lethal might do the dragoon in, but after Zidane inspects the body and turns his back chantage revives the character and she stabs zidane in the back. Never turn your back on an opponent. Vs. Gafgarion, Gaf here doesn't stand a chance, just jump right after he attacks and he's a sitting duck. Vs. Ramza, chantage would be the deciding factor here. Vs. Kuja, magic based, sadly he'll go down quick. This post has been edited by Cloud_Strife510 on 20th July 2006 17:48 -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

Mr. Roger's in a blood-stained sweater? jk!
Ummm... well if it's just FF characters... hmmm... This is HARD! I choose "Other". It's CLEARLY Prince Edward! EDIT: WHOOPS! Forgot to put my SERIOUS answer. Probably Sephiroth. He's overrated, yet overpowered at the same time. Hey, CloudStrife510. Are you sure Squall's ridiculous BlastingZone limitbreak isn't a
physical-damage hit? I meant that the damage done by his technique is like magic, not actually is magical-by-nature. Ha! A little research on the BattleMechanicsGuide reveals that BladeGrasp is the only counter-grasp to work on Attacks with a spell-gun. That's essentially what the LionHeart gunblade is, so I stand corrected, by both assertion and exertion. Good call, CS510. It really seemed to me that a massive beam of damage would be unavoidable, but if the BMG says it is so, it must be so. We all know what happens when we abandon canon. -------------------- Putting the A's in W lm rt: A11smart, Jobclass: Retailer. |

I think that Rydia would because when you have the GBA version because...
Possible spoilers: highlight to view When Rydia is an adult, her stats are pretty high for example, her Intellect and Spirit are 99 and speed is about 85. Intellect and Spirit hardly matter in an all-melee battle, though.

Intellect effects how much damage black magic gives the opponent. Spirit effects white magic (even though Rydia can't use it).

...Shadow
Why? Cause he owns existence right in the face with ninja stars and pure awesomeness. Other than that, there's Esper Terra with her immensely over powered Magic Power (I hit Atma for 7852 with a Fire 2 at lvl 26 once.. I don't see how that was even possible, but it sure hurt him a lot.) There's always Prince Edward. He could uses his Spoony Bard technique to kill his oppenent in annoyingness. Then there's Sephiroth with his one-hit kills and 60 inches of death... |

Sephiroth would win against all of them. I'd say second place would go to FF12 Gilgamesh.

I voted other because I was torn between Cloud and Squall. Those two are the absolute toughest characters in the series. Here's a few reasons for each character as to how they would win:
Squall Leonheart: The mighty leader of SeeD, Squall's Lionheart gunblade would totally kick some can. Also, his Lion Heart limit hits more times than Cloud's Omnislash. Also, the power of love is backing him. Rinoa's love for Squall would greatly increase his overall strength. Cloud Strife: One of the newest members of AVALANCHE, Cloud is an Ex-SOLDIER with training in the zanmato sword style. This would give him quite an advantage in most fights, but I'm not sure it would help him much against Squall. His Omnislash is definitely a force to be reckoned with. So is his Ultimate Wargod Slash Version 5 (Omnislash V5 for those of you not familiar with its official name). He does have the advantage of training and age, but not much else, otherwise. Now that I think of it, Squall would totally be on top of the heap when it comes to melee combat. As I always say, "Love conquers all!" ![]() -------------------- One to be born from a dragon hoisting the light and the dark arises high up in the sky to the still land. I have now changed my mind. An esper, most likely Ragnarok, would be the best since he can change his opponent into an item or Ragnarok can use Ultima to wipe out his opponents.
