Okay for starters I am new to CON though I do come here to look at the bestiary (or whatever you want to call) and the guides and the such,so I decided what the hey, so I signed up for the account about 2-5 minutes ago. So I just want to say hi to everyone, and I hope to know you better.

Anyway my problem, is that I have gone into the Auction House, and I can't get the Golem Esper, I've gone back to it, but they only auction, imp robots, blackjack ships, and hero rings with other stuff. I am just wondering what I need to do is there something I need to do before I get it? I have gotten it before in my other files, but I can't in this one.

My advice is, just keep trying, the magicite will pop up eventually. It took me like 20 minutes in a row once, just be patient.

Yeah After about 30 minutes of what seemed like an eternity, I finally got them to auction the esper , I talked to the man outside of the auction house, I wonder if you have to talk to him to get it Probably not

This event can be a real pain. Sometimes, I have gotten both Espers on the first few tries. Other times, it has taken me half an hour.

If you are playing the ROM (as opposed to actual cartridge or CD), use save states and the fast forward feature to their fullest advantage. The way I handle it is:

1. Save the state before walking into the Auction House
2. Put the A button on turbo
3. Use fast forward to skip through the bidding.
4. Restore the state if you don't get Magicite.

This is a fast technique, because putting A on turbo will cause you to win every item (except for the items that are impossible to win). You won't waste money, because you can load your old state if you don't get the right item.

Also, your odds may be somewhat better in the World of Ruin. (I recommend getting them in the World of Balance.)

I guess I just got lucky. I got both of them in 5 tries my first time. I always tend to get them rather quickly.

If you have the GP, you can buy the Hero Ring. It's unique, so once you buy it it'll never show up. It'll double your chances of seeing Golem appear. The WoR Auction House works like this:


- There's a 50% chance the item up for bidding is a Hero Ring. If you already bought it earlier, or the item isn't the Hero Ring, we continue.

- Then, there's a 50% chance it's a 1/1200 of an airship. You can never buy this 'item' no matter how much you pay, as the father will always buy it. But if this item isn't the 1/1200 of an airship, we continue.

- Then, there's a 50% chance it's the Golem Magicite! Nice. Try to buy it. If you already bought it earlier, or the item isn't Golem, we continue.

- Then, there's a 50% chance it's the ZoneSeek Magicite. Good. If you already bought this item, or if it still isn't this item, we continue.

- Then, there's a 50% chance it's a Zephyr Cape. If you already bought this item, or if it's not the Zephyr Cape, we continue.

- If it's none of the above, it's an Imp Robot. Period. You can never buy the Imp Robot, as the father will always buy it.

This has also happened to me many times. One time I got the Hero Ring like over 50 times in a row. Then I thought what would happen if I just bought the stupid thing, then they actioned both magicite in a row and got back to selling Hero Rings, pieces of airships, robot imps, ect.

Try it, it worked for me.

Although you can't buy the pieces of airships or imp robots.

Well, I was wondering how the auction house works. I kept wondering why I was getting the imp robot on sale so many times in a row. Thanks Djibriel!
