Solo Bare at Byblos, correct?
Equip the whip. Byblos is vulnerable to Paralyze. Full damage in the back row is an added bonus. |

i Sylphed Sandworm to death, despite the fact it only does around 200 per hit. 2 hits from Ramuh took out Crayclaw. Can't wait until i get Bahamut, Leviathan etc.
Solcannon should be easy, Ramuh will make quick work of him. Edit Yeah, Solcannon was easy, but i'm stuck on Archeaovis. I can't do more than 400 damage per turn, which sucks. This post has been edited by footbigmike on 16th July 2006 19:31 |

Okay, I need help. And not on what you think. I really am a ditz.
Look at this pic and tell me what's wrong with it: ![]() One of the codes I was using for another game for fun was for having a bunch of Gil. I know I turned it off and removed it from the list. How on earth did I get all this Gil otherwise? O_0; How can I get rid of all this Gil? -------------------- |

If it's a Game Genie code for ZSNES, you need to save the code list after removing the code. (If you forgot to save the code list, it will reload with the code next time you use ZSNES.) Try buying expensive items and selling them (if you can't throw them away). Eventually, you won't have much money left. -------------------- The world before the fall... Considering the most expensive things to buy are like, Mythril Hammers for 1,000 Gil, I can't really do that...maybe if I get to Jachol or wherever I can keep buying Rings, but that feels like cheating. ><; Isn't there a way to throw away items in this game?
I just checked, and it seems that the code really is gone. I don't understand why this is. I had it off and I had Gil normally when I went through the game (~40,000 from power-leveling). Maybe because I suddenly switched to ZSNES? -------------------- |

I only have one Fire Rod, which I've neglected to use. Will I be able to buy/win more? If so, then I'll use this because Byblos is really a big pain in my behind.
Edit: It appears I can buy them in Karnak. This just got a bit easier. Edit: Fixed my money dilemma. I entered the code, enabled it, disabled it, and then removed it. While every Boss up til now has been easier Ifrit is annoying again, I beat Liquidflame at level 14 (Best yet for an SSCC) now I just leveld up to 22 to find out he's still tough.

Defeated the Sandworm. His attacks were lucky enough to do over 40 damage to me, and Quicksand was just a minor annoyance.
The Ice Bow can do around 400 Damage: ![]() I attacked myself to heal with the Healing Rod, so Elixirs are a no-no. Victory was inevitable: ![]() Yay!! =3 This challenge is pretty fun! -------------------- |

I just read the page where everyone was talking about where it was...but now, I'm far underleveled to even do damage to it. xD Of course, it doesn't do much damage to me, but it does that Missile attack which halves my HP.
As for 'ClayClaw' or whatever it's called... ![]() ![]() Heal from Tailscrew with the Healing Rod, and used the Lightning Bow. Success! I really can't wait to get a lance, and I know I can buy one from Jacole after I get the ship. Currently I'm all defense and no offense. Dragonsword does 130 against Ifrit, jump does 200, the glitch doesn't work becaus ifrit is just slow enough.
Although I Didn't beat him until i was level 32 in my Hunter SSCC. ![]() Look! Up in the Sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No It's a dagger coming down on your face. Edit ![]() Had the wrong pic. It happened against Siren, a Zuu, and another random encounter Although it hasn't maintained the whole battle, just the first 1-3 hits after landing -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

Angel ring would make the fight against Sol Cannon a lot easier. that's your best bet.
Currently fighting Ifrit again at level 27 Edit Beat Him level 30, one tough cookie. ![]() I got the glitch to work twice against him. Edit Here's a screenshot for ya Caesar ![]() ...Can't touch this... Edit Byblos was just too easy the glitch happened twice in a row 3x ![]() I think it has to deal with expected air time for Jump, normally you have four characters and it takes longer, but when one person or everyone jumps the airtime is significantly shortened. I think that Djibrial has gone inside FFV, he might be able to shed some more light on the matter. I think the person to ask would be IntructrTrepe. Djibriel hosts a lot of his FFV findings on his own site, but I'm not sure how deep Djibriel has delved into FFV. Both of us specialize in FFVI hacking as far as I know.
As for the glitch, it has always worked with four people for me, so idk if it would be because he lands sooner with one person. I'm gonna stick with my guess that if the enemy attacks too quickly and the Ineffective message comes up more than once or twice, it assumes the Jump status is permanently enabled. Or something along those lines. Either way, it's really handy once you learn how to trigger it at will, as you have already noticed. ![]() Just wait until you trigger it against Neo-Exdeath. Funnest battle ever. -------------------- Is PJ |

It's never gone a whole battle for me. the longest it's gone is 2 after lending. I'm beginning to think the glitch seemed permanent for you because you had all four characters jumping maybe 2x4=8, so on so forth and stacks as the battle progresses.
My theory is still based on air-time. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

The only way I've been able to damage the Prototype is by breaking Thunder Rods, but I'm not wasting my precious (slightly expensive) rods to get 2,000 Exp.
![]() Edit: I actually need help with the cannons before Sol Cannon. The cannons that cast the fire attack ('Emmision') weaken me too much to be able to kill them both off. The other cannons cast Rocket Punch to confuse me (even though I have a Ribbon...) I can still do good damage with the Thunder Bow, but it still takes three to four attacks to finish them. I guess I have to level up more. Edit again: And what on earth is this axe? ![]() ![]() Oh. I see....>=3 ![]() This post has been edited by Zeromus_X on 17th July 2006 19:34 -------------------- |

My theory is still based on air-time. I'm starting to see more proof to this, when I used Jump aainst byblos I was barely in the air, and I got the glitch to work occasionally throughout the battle. Against Sandworm I was in the air for a very long time, sandworm managed to get 3 moves, all were ineffective. but after I landed the glitch never happened. Then against Clay Claw I got the glitchto work after short airtime. _Udate_ Beat Sandworm and Clay Claw, parked right outside tycoon meteor. Sandworm was easy, as was clay claw Sandworm i just used DragonSword a lot. Clay Claw I just Jumped twice, went down really fast. ![]() Dragionsword does 200 damage and heals, jump did 1600 against clay claw. Edit ZX you'll want to keep that Doom axe for when Galuf has to fight Gilgamesh. That's the only way a level1 Galuf can win. I've destroyed three of the four guard cannons. With the mass amount of Doom Axes I've gotten (and I saved one for Galuf, reading Silverlance's posts), I've bought a Fire Ring as well. However, is there a way to determine what cannon you fight? I've ran into the Flame Cannons, and the Rocket Cannons, but it's usually the Rocket Cannons. I can usually take out one of them (Thunder Bow= ~1,000 Damage), but then they confuse me and I attack myself and die. I guess I'll keep trying until I get lucky.
Edit: Got lucky and encountered the Flame Cannons. Fire Ring ftw. Now I have to fight Sol Cannon. Edit: Eh...keep dying. Am I supposed to try and destroy a certain part first? This post has been edited by Zeromus_X on 17th July 2006 20:24 -------------------- |

You'll want to have your angel ring equipped because it prevents aging, "less aging = more damage, more damage = less soul cannon"-Caesar.
The back two pieces are all that really attack you the Cannon itself only does surge beam Edit Pretty much all of the attacks that Soul cannon does are not affected by your defense, so try to be as light as possible, If you can have Zero weight This post has been edited by Cloud_Strife510 on 17th July 2006 20:31 -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

The back two pieces of the cannon, however, use the missiles that halve your life and confuse you, so I usually take them out before anything else.
CS510, Soul Cannon isn't too bad with Dragoon. It's all about timing the Jump to miss the Surge Beam. I don't remember what message it is I usually leap on ("energy level at 128%" or whatever it was sounds about right), but he's not bad at all after that point. -------------------- Is PJ |

Quote ("energy level at 128%" or whatever it was sounds about right), but he's not bad at all after that point. Well that is my plan, the only issue I have tright now is the last rocket guns. For some reason these buggers always confuse me into killing myself. These two are all that's left between me and soul cannon. Currently I do 1900 damage with jump, which makes the best damage yet at this section of the game. (Ninja 1600 damage against Soul cannon, and 1000 to the other pieces) So multi=hit was nice, but I'm expecting Dragoon to be the easiest fight against soul cannon. Edit ![]() The glitch just saved my ass. It blocked a rocket punch ![]() Edit Jumping right when it says "energey level 128%" dodges it perfectly. Very easy battle I may have finished with only 3 hp. I barely had to heal at all, and angel ring kept me young. Edit Damn ArchAvis I can beat the first forms easily, but once i get to the revived form jump always misses and dragonSword only does between 70 and 90 damage. Don't know what I'm going to do with this one. Edit There has to be something that i am overlooking, like a knife or something, leveling up doesn't help any, i make it to the revived form without using any elixers or hi-potions, and leveling up will just make his attacks do more damage. Maybe I should Invest in a fire ring prevent some of his attacks, I still don't understand how jump misses. Edit But a fire ring wouldn't help against the undead form. Edit MageMashers: A New Hope ![]() Thank god I can finally deal substantial damage, I think i can beat Him now. (This is on hisrevived form) Edit damn it, is there anyway to stop fang and entangle besides luck? Edit now that I have a magemasher level may actually help in this battle. Edit No leveling necessary, went back and bought a flame ring and it helped out a lot, his undead form ended up using flame more than thunder, and maelstrom wasn't followed up by anthing that could deal damage, current level 38 ![]() Edit "I stabbed a guy with a trident"-Rick Tamlin ![]() ![]() Titan was just too easy. Edit ![]() FLoat like a butterfly sting like a bee Edit Porouboros are a real nuisance right now, I'm going to take a break Edit Abused savestates to beat puroboros, i had a feeling I was going to need luck, so i decided to put luck on my side, currently almost at the battle on the bridge. Edit Dragoon SSCC is a tougher tougher than I expected Gilgamesh on the bridge is rather cumbersome., maybe I should have leveled up? But ohh well a few more tries, i might start a different one. Edit Going to start up trainer, never used it, sounds like it has a lot of versatility. Edit I'm going to take a break for a little bit, maybe come back to dragoon later.
