Possible spoilers: highlight to view Sephiroth was killed 5 years before the start of the game by Cloud. Zack was unconscious, Tifa had just been slashed through the stomach by Sephiroth. Cloud stabbed Sephiroth with his own Masamune, after he had been slashed with it. Sephiroth fell into the Mako pool at the bottom of the reactor, and somehow made his way into a cyst in the Northern Cave. He was dead, yet somehow his mind was alive, powered by Jenova. In the meantime, Tifa moved from her destroyed hometown to Midgar (with Zangan, I believe) and Cloud and Zack were taken by Hojo to be experimented with. Cloud's mind was controlled by some mix of Sephiroth, Jenova, his younger self, and Zack. No one's sure when comes which. -------------------- Squenix games completed: FFIII FFIV FFVI FFVII FFIX FFX FF Tactics: Advance 2 Chrono Trigger Dragon Quest 8 Dragon Quest 11 Super Mario RPG |

No
Possible spoilers: highlight to view There is no real evidence to prove that Sephiroth was dead, but he was frozen in mako. for all we know the Jenova cells kept him alive, stuck in solid mako. But no real evidence he ever died, everything else Holds fact. Except Wasn't Zangan also killed in nibleheim and Tifa went to midgar after reading a letter from Zangan. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

wtf? No, Cloud isn't Sephiroth. He was controlled by Sephiroth, but they are most definitely seperate entities.

Yeah, though I think that Sephiroth is his dark side, or something like that.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view No, he could just control him because of the Jenova cells, and Cloud's weak mind and insecurities. This post has been edited by Zeromus_X on 10th July 2006 02:52 -------------------- |

Possible spoilers: highlight to view Actually, Zangan is the one that took Tifa to Midgar. He rescued her so to speak from the reactor after Cloud and Zack were indisposed. It shows it in the Last Order skit which is pretty much an anime highlighting the Nibelheim incident in depth. Where would Tifa get a letter when Nibelheim was burnt down and replaced with a bunch of actors? Hmm...as for the Sephiroth thing I think I recall somewhere in the game where they say he actually did die...I'm not sure though because he was only somewhat alive. I was under the impression the Jenova kept him alive to a certain standard. -------------------- "Shut up. You're making me sober..." -Reno *Ryoko* |
