I heard a rumor from a friend that there was a way (by some secret side quest or something) to get Sephiroth's sword as a usable weapon. I was wondering if this were true as I have never heard or read it elsewhere.

You can win it in one of the Gold Saucer games, but it can't actually be equipped; it's just a gag item.

Only one way.........Use a gameshark. My friend did it but his game f up after wards lol

yea with the gameshark. i tried it it really useless lol..you can also get sepiroth this way he replaces Vincent its kinda sweet he comes with all his materia mastred and stuff just like in the lfash back but he has no limit breaks.i just sold all his materia then got my Vincent back

At wutai you can get a weapon called Murasame which is a small samurai sword, but it's no Masamune blade.

You can get the masamune by going to the Gold Saucer and getting 64,000 points and buying W-Summon and Omni slash then getting another 64,000 points so you can go ointo the secret battle which only cloud can go in. That is where you can get masamune and some other stuff but i don't know if it is a useable weapon.

yes you get the final attavk and the masamune here. you cant use the masamune tho. CLoud says something if you click on it i forget what.

It wouldn't be consistent with the game's script either if you could use it, since the script states that no one but Sephiroth had the skill to wield that sword.

(Yes, the game makes him leet like that.)

Well he is right you can't use it but you can just have it in your item list for no reason but it's not worth it. And i think you get Final Attack as a chocobo racing gift.

Which is just one of the many plot holes, seeing as how Tifa uses it in the flashback...unless Tifa is Sephiroth That would be a tad creepy. Sorry to get off the subject, but I just had to mention that.
Oh, and you get Final Attack as the reward for the first special battle(ya know, the ones after you get Omni-slash and W-Summon).

There's a difference between using a weapon, and using a weapon well. Sephiroth is the only one who can use the Masamune properly, because he's a SOLDIER first class, which is why when Tifa tries to attack Sephiroth, she fails instantly.

Bigger rumor: You can get sephiroth in your party. Steal the masamune handle from a malboro well after it says nothing to steal. You need all 1/35 soldiers. You need the blade from battle square. This is what i've heard
