How much luck do you need to make cloud's omnislash do 9999 each hit and same with barret's ungarmax?

Even if you had 0 luck, every hits of omnislash would remain critical. That's why I find the limit a bit weak, they made 15 weaks hits but boosted it by having 100% chance of critical hit. Therefore, if you want to boost omnislash, raise your strength, forget about luck.

Sorry I misread your question...

Omnislash is probably the only limit that has 100% chance of critical hit.
IIRC, to know the % chance of a critical hit, simply divide by 3. So with 255 luck, you have 85% chance of critical hit every attack.

Critical hits "only" doubles damages and can't be any stronger. To reach 9999 with ungarmax, you ought to use Barret's final weapon and equipping materias with high AP. I think you also need to use hero drinks in battle because that limit is pretty weak.

Keep in mind that to reach 9999 damage easely, hero drinks are your best bet (there is no increase after you use 4 on the same person though).

actually I'm curios, does luck also increase evasion? Currently I believe Luck does, but I'm not sure, It's just that I'll notice after juicing up somebodies stats through sources (luck being the highest because it's the easiest to get on the gelnika plane) They dodge nearly every physical attack that comes there way.

Luck is Luck from what I believe (but don't know for sure) it increases your chance for anything accuracy, critical hits, evasion, D.blow, et cetera.
