Here's a little thread where you can post you're favorite quotes from any FF games...it seems to be popular in the individual games, so I figured I would give it a try, feel free to include games not yet covered on CON.
Here are a few of mine: No cloud, no squall shall hinder us... Marcus, Final Fantasy IX Rikku: Where are you from? Tidus: Zanarkand. I'm a blitzball player. Star player of the Zanarkand Abes! No doubt, just about every poetic word that came from the mind of my favorite FF villain of all time, Kuja from FFIX.
Kefka had some very good quotes as well. "I'm going to see my mother."- Sephiroth Laguna telling Squall that he had somethng important to talk to him about, understanding if Squall wouldn't want to listen. "Oooh, soft" as Zidane was touching Dagger's ass. "We sharpshooters are loners by nature. We hone our instincts, pour our whole being into a single bullet."- Irvine Kinneas Everything Cid says after he enters outer space for the first time in FFVII. "I don't care if I forgot my memories when Seifer used to pick on me."- Zell Dincht Would the lyrics from Eyes on Me count as well? I didn't start appreciating FFX's dialogue until I started reading all of it. Some pretty good moments.
Monk: "The precepts must be obeyed!" Tidus: "Like I care!" --- Auron: "There is a saying: 'Hurry up and wait.' It means, prepare quickly so you're ready for whatever comes next." I can't find this in the game, but I remember Sabin saying it in VI: "If you love her, let her go. If she doesn't come back, she's probably with my brother." Celes in VI to Locke, if you kept him in soldier's clothing: "You're awfully short for a soldier" (reference to SW) Cyan: "You licentious howler!" Vincent in VII on the runaway train: "Hit the brakes on, Chief." Cid's response is colorful. "Sit your ass down and drink your goddamn tea." Cid in VII again. Oddly, one from Cait Sith: "Looks like Kya ha ha ha and Gya ha ha ha are up to something again." In FFVIII, Quistis: Ahh...Excuse me, we're flying? Zell: I hope this ain't the case but, I can picture Selphie in the pilot seat, and... Quistis: ...Selphie screaming, ``Whoo-hoo, we're flying!'' Laguna (after he tossed Kiros and Ward off the cliff into the water): "Come on guys, you're crazy jumping off the cliff. You could hur..."
