I use a chocobo. It's the safest way for any low-level (and quite frankly cowardly) gamer to do. And I fall into the second category.

Is slaughter indiscriminately a choice? I tend to fight these guys over and over, just for kicks. Besides, once you get Beta the first time around, anything else is a joke.

I used to play the Zolom by running around him and avoiding him altogether through the entire game...but now that i have the PS1 version instead of the PC version, i decided to level up to Lvl 16 or 18 and beat him the first time through the mashes...
Strange though...after i beat him, he never came back again! Mustve been a glitch. -------------------- <DrkMagimaster282> MWAHAHA. First time I encountered the Zolom I was like "aww, can't be that bad. I totally mangled anything that crossed my path in Midgar, so why not!"
I soon learned to take the approach of "run" or "chocobo." I did come back and avenge myself once I was leveled up enough. |

I'm at least level 30 by then so I make sure I beat The Midgar Zolom and learn Beta from him all the time.
High Level + Beta = Death to anyone who crosses my path. |

i crossed the river by running then fought"ark dragons" to get aeris barret and clouds limit to 3 then killed (used aeris 2nd lvl3 limit 2 stop beta's damage)
