I am at cosmo canyon my first time there, i have 3 party members and went to talk to reds grandfather, we entered the cg where is shows the souls and all that stuff, barret and tifa are in my party. after it shows the shooting star and all of that red grandpa is just floating there and cloud can move around, i tried switching disks and it says to put disc 1 back in to continue. i need help and need to get the hell out of there. i talked to red and got no candle so HELP

When Bugenhagen (Grandpa) takes you up into the planetarium, he pushes a button on a control panel. All you need to do is walk over to the controls and press the O button (confirm).

....If you've done that already, I don't know what to tell you

Cant you just restart and just not switch discs?

Well i am playing FF7 on the pc, so what do i press then? i walk around hitting enter, so what key do i do? i try to do different things, red grandpa still flies in the air. dangit so HELP, which key is the confirm key?

That would be the key that you have used thus far to converse with other characters in the game, purchase items from shops, attack enemies, etc, etc. No worries, you'll figure it out.
