I couldn't add a '?', so oh well.
Yeah, so what's your biggest gaming accomplishment. As in one single biggest accomplishment. -------------------- |

Beating Final Fantasy five was tough. Not for difficulty, but for epicness and it got kind of boring.
And also beating those stupid Lunasaurs on FFIV... >.< I spent too long on those stupid things! -------------------- You're telling me that there's no hope. I'm telling you you're wrong. |

it might not be too big to some, but the first time i beat FF6 was with my cousin back when i was 13 or 14. we beat it in about 3 days. we didnt perfect anything, but just beating the damn game gave us a great sense of achievement. it was pretty awesome.

When I was ten or eleven years old, I beat Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse on my old NES in one sitting, without using any continues or passwords. It doesn't sound like much, but trust me, I felt awesome about it. And for some reason, I can't equal that accomplishment nowadays (
![]() Oh yeah, and also up there would be beating DMC 1 on DMD mode (I'm still working on 3....), getting the Excalibur II in FF IX, and beating Mega Man X with 100% completion in 44 minutes. Meh, I've gamed a lot in my day. -------------------- |

I guess it'll be more than one thing then.
![]() I've solo'd Zeromus_EG with several characters, but given the lack of difficulty in Advance, that shouldn't be an accomplishment. I beat FFVI in 20 hours, with nobody over level 40, but that game is pretty easy anyway. I've beaten Freya solo with Fate. But Fate has the highest base defence and with all the defence raising tricks that wasn't that hard, it just took a really long time. (20,000,000 HP just doesn't vanish.) I have gotten 100% of every stage (yes, even the annoying as hell bonus castle stage) on Yoshi's Island, but that was actually really fun. I did solo Sephiroth with Cloud with no materia with the Buster Sword as a weapon, that was cool. (It took awhile.) Maybe someday, we'll do that with the Weapons or something. (That would be cool.) That's probably the closest thing to an 'accomplishment' I've ever done. -------------------- |

Quote (laszlow @ 7th June 2006 04:44) ....and beating Mega Man X with 100% completion in 44 minutes. That's just ridiculous......... Anyways, mine is probably having beaten all 100 levels of Bubble Bobble w/o losing a single life |

Beating God of War on God mode in five hours without saving...never again!!
Also, destroying Contra at age six in two hours. -------------------- This is a webcomic and gaming blog where I rant about nonsense. Enjoy. I was a soldier, now I just play one in video games. |

On MK: Deception, beating Onaga with a Double Flawless on the default difficulty setting with Baraka, whom I played as for the first time. I almost hit my head on the ceiling, I was so happy.
I was also extremely ecstatic when I beat Phantasy Star II for the first time waayyyy back when. I can't help but get competitive. -------------------- "Thought I was dead, eh? Getting to Level 900 in Devil May Cry 2, in the Bloody Palace, going up one level at a time, not that cheap 10 or 100 at a time portal, without getting so much as hit once, nevermind using up any healing items or whatnot.
That took hours and hours of practice and retrying though, let me tell you. Ummm, that and beating Resident Evil 4 on the harder difficulty without ever dying and with 90% accuracy, without using the cheap weapons like the Chicago Typewritter or the Infinte Launcher. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

Beating Majora's Mask without warping back in time (save for when you have to warp in the beginning when you get your ocarina). Second would be a ~7 hour speed run of FF6 (on a cartridge, without vanish/doom or glitches).
As for just plain beating games that are very hard: Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts Actraiser (on pro mode) Shadows of the Empire (on Jedi Mode, and getting all challenge points) This post has been edited by 1stclass on 11th June 2006 21:55 |

Played through FF8. :x
Also, various insane minute-long exchanges of blows/dodges/parries in Samurai Shodown III. Soloing in any game when you are supposed to use other party members and attack has a team like in Hoshigami and Disgaea. The math in those two games is so ridiculous that Soloing with Laharl through the game was a total joke.
Also two-in-one, beating all the bevelle dunjon in FFX-2 and beating Trema on my second try (after I've seen how strong he was) Without any stronger equips such Adamantite or the Mascot Sphere. I also played Final Fantasy Legends 1 for 10 minutes. I think that's all. ![]() -------------------- Sayonara |
