You seem to have a consistance and fundemental problem of believing people put weight on their back leg, rather than their front. That's usually not the case. Suggest to you fix that.

The sword he's brandishing doesn't look anywhere near like something a ninja would use. It looks more like something a knight would take into battle. Ninjas prefer shorter blades, IMO.

Actually, in most Martial Arts almost all the weight is put on the back leg for added support, so if the front leg is knocked, which would be likely, balance isn't lost, and, as Edge grew up learning Ninjitsu, he probably would develop a habit of resting on his back leg

Any way, I like it, although pixel art that big, if you attemp for alternate poses could be hard to make a sprite sheet

Would be a good boss sprite though

For combat, sure, but this doesn't appear to be a combat stance. Fact is, he's outta balance and looks like he's gonna fall over which I don't think is an effective technique in martial arts.
